I don't see a "Handheld Division", mate. Where's my option to put "Fate/EXTRA" as Game of the Year for handhelds?
I can't really vote with much gusto since GotY always struck me as...silly, but considering there are only a handfull on the list with a good story, and of those only a few that didn't need a fucking patch on launch, didn't ruin Xbox 360s and PS3s ad nausium only to have Rockst-I mean, "Publisher B" and Sony say it wasn't their fault, and had interesting themes aside from just the main story, I have to vote for Deus Ex.
Portal 2 is only just beat out, though, since though it has a far better ending in my opinion, the themes that were played with and touched on in DE:HR were really interesting, especially to a newcomer like me.

I see not games I would actually be interested in, with the possible exception of Portal 2...

On a serious note, I find that Dark Souls should be up there. It's a dark horse for sure, but the game itself is great enough for me to have it as GOTY.

I see what you mean, and if you wanna roll with that in this thread then it's fine with me, but if im gonna be honest about it, with restrictions like that the winner is not gonna be a true "GotY" since so many other excellent top contenders for the title is not available for voting.
That aside, im gonna hold off my vote until i've tried out Skyrim.
