I think jumping is something that does automatically as you near the ledge of something.

I think that's, as Hentanize said, more of an automatic thing and not as hassling as say the possible stealth mechanics.

New trailer looks good. I assume though there are more than just the 4 characters also.

Looks REALLY fucking good, though that might be because I've been waiting for this game for a long time and am glad to see any video whatsoever. Nah, scratch it - it's just gorgeous.

I am concerned about the possible stealth elements, simply because I suck at stealth games. I saw a friend play Metal Gear Solid twice, near-perfect runs each time, and knew exactly what to do and how to do it, but playing the game myself, I still sucked hard at it. I imagine many hours of frustration if the stealth in the game is completely necessary.

Also, when the fuck will we get a release date? "In 2015"? It's already 2015, the second month of it, and all we've got is a trailer! Ooh, please don't make us wait until November or December. ;_;

I've read somewhere that current year release in the US is pretty much confirmed.

Officially continuing the Pre-P3 storyline because I'm almost certain Philemon possessed/took the appearance of the protagonist at the end of the trailer(who coincidentally had the same eyes as a Shadow). In the trailer they aren't fighting Shadows, they are fighting "Personas"(Sandman and Pyro Jack respectively) and that makes sense since the pre-P3 games did the same. So the new Velvet Room is a prison, because the new twin Velvet room attendees(willing to bet one is a boy and a girl) and Igor can be seen in that panshot with the protagonist in stripes.

Stealth system. I'm taking it as an optimistic alternative to running circles around a shadow you don't want to fight, plus it adds more flavor to the dungeon crawling tedium.

So I'm almost certain the angle this game is going to play is that you are aligned with the Shadows, consider the theme of carefree expression unbarred by restraints, and it's probably Philemon's fault again. Otherwise the swinging 80s vibe I'm getting from the game's theme is driving me nuts. Hyped for Junko Social link. SO READY FOR THIS GAME.

Stealth kinda makes sense to add in a Persona game. After all, last time in P4, a sneaking in a preemptive strike against a Shadow was the advantage. So it's interesting to think that they'd go a bit further with the thief idea.

Harry Potter, Naruto, Catherine, and Felix the Cat. Good Job Atlus.

Who knows what the stealth part is in this game, could be a mini game of some sorts. I also like the fact this seems less waifu heavy (as far as main characters goes). Makes the choice all the more easier.

I may no longer be able to watch anime without feeling pain in my heart, but glad to see Persona 5 starting off strong and badass.

I wonder if Atlus will release more trailers. They showed a lot of stuff; combat, menus, exploration, new features, CGs, characters, etc. But based on the 2 videos Atlus released, there are only 4 characters that can be used for combat and only 1 could be love interest. I wonder what Atlus has in has waiting for us, but I hope that it was worth the wait.

Rise is a celebrity so I wouldn't be surprised if she was on some advertisment. Naoto seems viable seeing as our anti-heroes(?) are thieves and she's a PI. Chie perhaps since she says she wants to be a cop if you max out her SL.

Assuming P5 takes place after P4 or even P3, which given the evidence is entirely likely.

P4 cameos probably won't happen until they release the better version of the game(P4G P3FES). It's probably going to be influenced by popularity polls meaning Yosuke would at least get an honorable mention, would be fun watching Dojima push around Chie(trip to Inaba to see them) and legal Nanako hype.

So this is really going back to P1&P2, all the characters will have a melee and ranged weapon and the Social Link system is going to get overhauled. Hashino refuses to comment on why the characters are fighting Personas/Demons. P5's protagonist is a second year high school student who moves to the big city in the spring. He lives with his parents’ friends at their coffee shop on the outskirts. He and his friends share common ground in having lost a place to live before. Apparently his appearance as a docile person is meant to be misleading, hinting towards actual character in this protagonist. The protagonist's persona will be Arsene
