meh... I usually watch commentary from others such as HDStarcraft and Husky. they work fine but I'm not really good at multitasking. too focused on a fight and before I know It I'm out of units and too much minerals but before I can build and army the enemy is already destorying my buildings. my average apm is around 100 :p

You do know that Warcraft was originally a Warhammer game, but game workshop decided to screw over their contract and so Blizzard decided to publish the game themselve to say a big ''fuck you'' @ GW. In the end Blizzard won.

Forget what people told you about APM and it's importance, I know better than all of them and it hurts my brain when the first thing beginners are prioritizing is APM.

Also HDstarcraft and Husky are bad players and that shows well in their commentaries. Watch the matches with sound off so you don't get the wrong ideas.

They aren't pro players obviously but they are fans of the game and they like providing commentaries which you rarely find commentators for Starcraft. They commentate professional matches etc. it was also nice to see the Husky and HD invitational. Just because people upload something doesn't mean that they think themselves as pro, they just provide to other fans of the games about small tips if you're starting out and other gameplay info. You're getting them confused with console fags of FPS's like halo or MW2 from machinima.

Oh man, Imma head over to Best Buy in about two hours. Play some Star Craft while waiting in line.

While it is true that APM shouldn't be a priority in the beginning, someone who might want to dabble competitively might want to execute better.

Screw this, was gonna go in line then I got lazy. Imma pick it up morrow along with Arc Rise Fantasia and BlazBlue.

I won my first battle using Terran, I am so happy.

Walked into the store, went in front of a pile of sc2 copies and I'm like the only dude getting one. Couldn't believe this unhype so I spent like fifteen minutes observing said pile and in this time like only three other people got the game. Such a high contrast compared to the WoW shitstorm, it was a bit depressing. Hope I just got in at a bad time or something.

They kinda fucked it up with SC2 imo... I mean wtf, judging that Blizz had enough leftover money from WoW to buy a small country, why did they have to make SC2 into a 3-part game (basically every campaign is a whole game, and we have to pay for each), and worst of all... they excluded the LAN...

just got back from the shop right after work.

The collectors edition is certainly packed. nice box as well.

and ofcourse 2 "guest passes" for Starcraft 2 and World of Warcraft :p
