Is it possible to use Alcohol 120% instead of Daemon Tools? I haven't been able to get Daemon to work in Windows 7...

Yes Alcohol is possible alternate of Daemon.

in any case, for all interested, this visual novel's deep and complex plot was as rewarding to end as it was Fate/Stay Night.

There's no music by default, you have to either extract it from the iso and put it in the CD folder as .ogg files, or find them online.

What's really ironic is I know one of the mirrormoon guys, and the interesting conversation we have had on this topic.

Hum, that didn't happen to me. I haven't downloaded the Tsukihime I have from here but I assume it's the same version. We'll have a cd image and when we mount it the windows will recognize it as a audio CD (that because Tsukihime uses CD-DA for its music). After installing the game and the patch I ripped the CD-DA music to ogg files and put them in a folder named "CD" inside the game folder and named the music files in this way: 'track01.ogg' through 'track10.ogg'. That's explained in the patch readme of mirror moon.

I'm currently playing the game and don't have any problems at all. There's just no voices.

Well that's what I said no? Either rip them off the CD or find them online.

Even if windows can read the CD-DA, Tsukihime won't use the CD-DA from the CD, it has to be ripped anyway.

Here, for the folks who can't figure out how to rip the music from the disk:

They aren't the music from the disk, but from Ever After, which are remix of the originals, higher quality and all. I've manually lowered the dB of all the tracks too, because Tsukihime doesn't allow volume control and it would be extremely loud otherwise so it should sound just right.

I'm sorry, what I wanted to mean (I completely failed my point -.- ) is that the game without the english patch has music using CD-DA (at least from what I read, I haven't tested it) and that because of the way the english patch was made, it's necessary to manually place the music files in the game folder. That was it.

Oh, and thanks for the link. I kind of like the original bgm of the game but I might also try this one since it should be better ^^
