Wanko to Kurasou

So I downloaded the files, mounted the .iso, hopefully installed correctly (it was in japanese so I can't be sure), and installed the english patch with little to no problem. The screen that comes up is black at first the sometimes eventually changes to the ivory logo and I can open up menus and exit the game, but that's about it. Any clue as to the problem, because I can't even make it to the startup screen?
(I did open up both a VLC and windows media player videos to address that possible issue and it did not work.)
uhh any screen shots? and by menus do u mean the settings or the actually title screen?

I shit you not, I saved a screen cap of the problem and then all of a sudden the music started and I was on the start-up screen. I guess the issue is fixed, but I didn't do anything. :/

setting > sound setting > voice and you will hear Mikan voice. That should solve the problem.Confirmed this is a reliable solution. Also fixed an issue where the sound would take longer to play than the load did.

But if you want to upload a portable version of the game you're free to do it.

Noob question, I know, but when I downloaded the files they downloaded as a weird type of file. I was expecting a .rar but instead it was, for example, Wanko to Kurasou 01 and the file type is 01 and it goes on like that for the other files with only difference being their respective numbers. A little help please.
