hrmm, I don't think the 360 and ps3 are on the same level as far as graphics go (there was an extra year in the development of the ps3), the game library's are close but I would still give the edge to ps3 exclusives, the multiplayer goes to the 360 but you now have to pay for it so better but more expensive. Overall I would prefer a ps3 over a 360 but in the end they are quite close. Whoever creates the next gen console first will have a big step up on the competition IF the quality is there.
Why is there so much hate for the PS3/360/Wii/Whatever?
The answer is pretty simple: They mad.
It's just a bunch of idiots that have nothing better to do with their lives pissing off the normal gamers by carrying on about pointless junk like this, which is useless in the long run. Everyone knows the Wonder Swan is the best system ever, anyway.....
I dont really care about people trashing the PS because I know how good it really is.
XBOX fanboys are like Witchfinder Generals, "This Woman (I.E. Playstation) is a witch" We all know she fucking isnt but theres no point in saying that to the Witchfinder because he'll just be a douchbag about it and wont listen to reason!!
I absolutely fucking refuse to buy a Microsoft console. (Id rather buy a Nintendo)
I like the 360 mostly for the library of games. That's not to say that the Wii and PS3 don't have any good games, it's just that the 360 has more games that suit my tastes (stabbing, shooting, driving fast cars into brick walls). I'll admit, I've been wanting to play a couple of PS3 games, mainly Infamous and Killzone, but the controller is a serious turn off to me. It just doesn't feel right in my hands and I don't like dying because I tend to move around a bit (i.e. a lot) when I get engrossed in a game.
The Wii, I never cared for. I played a few games on my cousin's Wii and didn't care much for it. Wii Sports was fun and I like those rail shooter games as it's like being at the arcade without blowing $20 worth of quarters, but there's really not much there for me.
I'll admit, I mostly got into the 360 because I owned still own an original xbox and I kinda already knew what to expect from the 360. Controller was good, games kept my interest, and online play was fun. Yes, I have a couple of gripes with it's noise and the whole RROD thing it's got, but I'm still happy with my choice. It's kinda like having an excitable puppy that's prone to getting cancer (see where I'm going with this?) so you have to replace it with another excitable puppy. I named mine Scooter.
the console wars is something that I will never understand ever again. why again? that's because I used to be a part of this foolish bout, owning only a ps3. once I went and got a 360, I saw things in a whole different light. sure, the ps3 has better graphics overall due to the hardware inside, and a bluray drive to boot, but the 360 has an arguably more consistent and reliable online, but at a cost. those with only a ps3 at this point would say "but you don't have to pay for PSN!". in xbl's defense, you're paying around 50-70 dollars (CAD) a YEAR for decent online. that's 4-6 dollars a MONTH. this is, of course, if you're paying with a yearly subscription of xbl gold. another point is the exclusives that we get for each console. on the ps3, we have uncharted, killzone, resistance and infamous. on the 360, we have gears, halo, alan wake, and deathsmiles. take your pick. (sorry if this is a poor representation of the two consoles)
in the end, it's all out personal preference. the general guideline is this: ps3 for RPGs, and the 360 for shooters. but that doesn't set anything in stone. you could get a 360 for your RPGs and a ps3 for shooters if you'd like. one last thing I'd like to leave off with is this: before you go and bash the other major competing console, take a moment to really think: are they really that different from each other? they both use controllers to play games online or off, with friends or without.
