THANK YOU SO MUCH, some of the posts were really helpful!! <3 (not toootally decided yet tho)
I don't know if it's that I've grown fond of ps controllers because of having ps2 for so long, but to my hands the Xbox controller feels kinda big and as someone said clunky =~= (maybe my hands are too small? lol is the xbox controller ment for a manly grip :D)
Someone also said that I should just go and buy the one which has more games I prefer - the reason why I'm asking you guys is that idk that much about the games they have, plus I was interested in gaming experiences.
I really wish that you wouldn't start arguing about stuff here - As for biased opinions, I'll judge them myself thank you very much.
And once again I'm sorry about all the inconvinience for the people that felt it troublesome to see a thread about this subject AGAIN, must've been a painful experience. (what I gain from this particular thread: the popularity and opinions between ps3 and xbox alone, since it's just those two that I'm choosing from + game suggestions for these two with the features of the kind of games I'm looking for + I kinda wanted to have a conversation with you gamers but maybe I should just keep my social needs to the chatrooms ._.)
Well the thing when it comes to asking about games is you are getting a biased opinion of someone to begin with. When someone tells you to judge a system based on its games the first thing you have to consider is the exclusives versus the multi-platform. Most multi-platform games are built on the PC, which makes them easily designed for the CPU and design of the Xbox 360, however the way the PS3 is built it takes more effort and tweaking for games to work correctly on the PS3. That is why you hear a lot of people saying that multi-platform games are better on the 360. That isn't the end-all-be-all by any means, but it is something to consider.
That isn't to say that if you choose to buy a PS3 based on its exclusives and the way the system is presented is going to screw up you up when it comes to multi-platform games, it is just that a handful of games don't operate as well on the PS3 as it does on the 360, but I can't think of any game off the top of my head that is broken on the PS3 compared to it's 360 counterpart.
If not games, then it comes down to the systems themselves, and many people have already pointed out the obvious pros and cons of both systems. Really though, this is probably the most balanced generation we've ever had. For all practical purposes, the 360 and PS3 are identical in almost every way. There are just minute differences between the way the systems handle online content, and of course the drive difference, but truly the difference between buying a game on a Blu-Ray versus a DVD is as of yet inconsequential. I don't care what fanboys say, there is no such PS3 game that could not be played on the 360 in terms of memory.
Even the failure ratings between the two systems are very similar now. Hell, I always thought they have been more similar than people give them credit for. Microsoft has a poor PR department and their failure ratings got blown out of proportion while Sony has always had a good PR department and kept the YLOD and other failure ratings pretty hush-hush. I'm inclined to think the 360 failure rating was never higher than 30% and Sony's failure rating was higher than 5%. Probably a lot closer than most people think.
So really it comes down to what games you want to play and what you expect from your online experience. Game wise, the best thing to do is look up some games you are interested in and read/watch some reviews about them, and keep close track of what games are and are not exclusives.
