Fate RP discussion thread.

Yeeeaaaaaaaaaaaa, so, hm, she started it, huh.

So, hey, you guys. Talk to me over PMs or Skype if you need help making your character sheets. My Skype's......NeoXStriker? Shit, I hope someone else knows it. Send your character sheet to me and Rise one way or another. I believe Chapter 1 is Natures and Demeanors. We're not using those, but they're fine examples. You can make up your own, you just have to describe it. Chapter 2 is Character Packages and Stats, I believe. Don't be an EX Supernatural or an Epic Hero. Exclude Quality and Flaw stuff for the most part, unless, you're all interested in it. Then, that will most likely involve me working them out with each of you, and that will only happen if all of you agree on using Qualities and Flaws. After that is Skills, although, I'd say Skills are what should come after Stats. It's simple, really. All of those Skills in one way or another use a Stat, and due to the random nature of life, it can be a success or failure. This effectively translates to Skill+Associated Stat+d10. It's that bloody simple. You'll want to look over Damage Types and Combat Maneuvers. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand, that should be it.

Second post is supposed to have all the info about character creation and shit but... lack of time suddenly. Everyone got their servants, though. It's what I've been busy with.

Success levels are on the character sheet pdf. Please link that for me. And, congratz with regards to the Servants. Hope you all got the ones you wanted.

For Flaws, no. For Quality, well, why wouldn't you?

I suggest that everyone, after creating their characters, to send it over to Neo for review on the specific details. Not only will he give helpful advice, he will also help with the character generating.

Any normal/general questions can be posted here or at the chat in Skype. Those that have finished with their characters or understands the system can only give GENERAL ADVICE. Which I think everyone understand why.

Oh, I see. I just assumed that there were no characters since the profile list in the Fate/Fakku thread was blank.

Finally, when will the RP actually start? I feel so left out of the loop.

Nah, the players have an idea for their characters. But they just can't *finalize* their profiles. The profiles will be soon. I'm just being a little lazy with it.

A few days, I guess. This is mostly because we need to fix some incomplete servants and players needs to complete their profiles too, well, some of them.

Oh sup guys. I just remembered two things I never got around to mentioning. Probably more, but these are things from the top of head that I remember from reading skimming the Fate/fakku thread and this one. Anyways, without further ado... MY OPINIONS!!~~~~

1. I really think all players should use up their flaw points. Otherwise, there is a possibility of players maxing out qualities but having 0 to 2 flaws. If nobody did anything like that, then great.

2. Don't limit supernaturals. Otherwise, there's a possibility of players rushing to make supernatural class Masters. I understand that it could be boring for every Master to be a demon/werewolf/vampire/etc (I think it could be actually interesting if people play their supernatural characters correctly; it might even explain the weird classes you may put in this RP), but it just puts the supernatural class Masters (compared to the meddling classes) at an advantage. It gets even worse if (by random dice roll chance) a supernatural Master is controlling Berserker (and performed the summoning correctly) and fights against a meddling Master of Caster (where the summoning sorta sucked). Unless Caster has a superbly rigged NP, it's going to be an easy sweep for Berserker's Master.

I'm probably late with these suggestions/opinions, but I just wanted to say that. I would just like an even playing field with a small amount of luck involved.
