May I just say, I personally loved Jericho's 'The Valley of the New Year', we just felt it was too derivative of existing concepts. I did a fair bit of arguing for it, among others. I still have the document of basic notes on all of the stories, actually.

A little late due to some constraints in real-life, but if the organizers of this year's contest were to require any assistance, I will be willing to help out. ^_^;;
That being said, although I am not much of a writer, may I humbly suggest that the creativity of a story be taken into consideration when deciding the winners? Having perfect english may not be a bad thing, but since the festive season is just around the corner, feelings and effort put into one's work should not be overlooked too.
