[size=12]Yayoi sat worriedly by Dominic in the infirmary of the school for most of the morning; she could hear the whispers of the other students about the fight and why Dominic would suddenly faint. The nurse came back into the room and pressed her lips into a firm line.
"Yayoi-chan, you should go to class."
"It's my fault he's like this!" she cried in response. "What's even wrong with him?"
"He has a temperature; and with those eyebags, it looks like he hasn't been sleeping either."
I feel so warm... What is this?
Dominic looked around him but there were no distinct shapes; only colours. Grey, yellow, green, and blue... he shook his head, feeling heavy, but it didn't help him focus. A booming voice echoed all around him, wordless. He tried calling out to it, but no sound would rise from his throat. A chilling fear crawled into his veins and settled there - his limbs would no longer move, paralyzed by the feel of water all around him. He couldn't breathe, he was choking, he was drowning -
He woke up with a scream, startling the nurse. "Heavens! What is the problem, Dietrich-kun?"
"Why am I in the infirmary..?" Dominic asked in a scratchy, raspy voice, rubbing his temples.
"You fainted after beating another boy this morning," explained the nurse with a scolding look, her lips pressed into a firm, disapproving line once more.
"It's lunch right now; I'll get you an apple and some water and after the break is over I'll call someone to help you to your next class, okay?"
"Okay..."
