RP on a FPS game?

meh, last attempt to try 2 stay awake, since it's morning here and need 2 do stuff later. well the idea has been haunting me for a while to try a rp based on a fps game. I am wondering if anyone will join it if such will be the case. and if so, which fps should be the theme. I got a few but obviously (if it stands out enough for people to notice) my first choice is to do a Team Fortress 2 RP. Though, if others are ok with the idea of a fps rp, then you can suggest others games for the rp. and well the dang idea started with rise so i blame rise for having this idea haunt me for so long! >3< now the cat is out of the bag and i am calling all you rpers out to try to settle this once and for all! @_@

Not a big fan of TF2 but I can't really think of any other alternatives besides CS.

I don't really think TF2 is an appropriate FPS for an RP, I'd think you should use an FPS game that has it's own background story like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. or Killzone.

that's god 2 kno. as i said, TF2 was stuck in my head so it was the first choice i am pointing out. but ya, any others are good 2 point out.

consoles dont really matter. so any fps is open. or if that isnt enough, we can try other shooter games. :U

yup. FPS RP. hopefully there will be at least 6 people for the RP and i guess Killzone is a choice

i see a problem in this. there are perhaps not that many people willing to play a FPS RP since there are at least 2-3 already going on. and seeing that you don't have a certain game to base it on, well not sure it's worth joining my friend ._.

You're better off choosing a game that has the ability to support RPing through customization-appropriate mods, such as Unreal Tournament 2k4 build servers or Minecraft. I used to RP a lot in a Warcraft 3 mod that had such thorough game customization, it was always a blast. If all else fails, just write a fanfic.

Deus Ex would be fun but will have a lack of character types.
Left 4 Dead is possible but idk if it's more zombie than fps.

Ah, then I'd vote for an FPS that makes it easy to RP on. Obviously one thats available to play massive player co-op, like Minecraft with a gun mod or Killing Floor

Oh yeah, and you gotta make sure it's a game that you'd know/think that a lot of FAKKU users (specifically the FPS players) have.

Hey Guys, you know this is already happening with Garry's mod! I rp regularly in Half-Life roleplay. You take the role of a citizen under combine rule, and can become a Combine or even a rebe, if it floats your boat, stay as a human. It has great depth!
