[Locked] Teach me to become a better roleplayer

Would anyone be able to teach me how to roleplay better please? I don't want my experience to affect me but I really need help

Study the character learn what they do and think, just be like them its not that hard

I believe it is more appropriate if you had an open mind, try to absorb the characters personalities and emotions by copying them.

Try to act like your favorite characters from your anime, study their behaviors.

Find the following RPs and see how they work:

-Madoka Magica
-Time Warriors
-Nova Chasers
-Shadowrun

No No i mean the actual writing, I want the convidence to become good enough to RP at a expert level and not feel small because of my inexperience... I have already ruined my chance to RP in the soul eater RP because I paniced and got annoyed at myself and took it out on others :( now they all hate me even if they don't want to admit it

I gave you those RPs because I'm giving you the first bit of advice Rise-chan gave me regarding RP experience: READ A LOT OF THEM BEFORE PARTICIPATING OR MAKING ONE! RPs here really are just stories, basically, and the best advice anyone can give in that matter is read more and write EVEN more.

I'm only "seeming" harsh to actually get the message across to you. Truthfully, I'm like this to ANYONE who asks for help, because I feel like hand-holding only cripples more.

Artcellrox i am sure you are a nice guy and all, And I am sure that your intentions are good...However I want to be better so i can rp with you guys more rather be scared all the time, its not the reading or the writing its the confidence and the belief I have the skill to actually RP...Like Damien said the post i put up was pretty good unfortunately you guys were more interested in getting rid of me and finding my replacement that no one took any notice and I had to remove it so you could have you new weapon :(

My advice for you to write more stories IS to increase your confidence. I saw your post. It wasn't bad, to be honest, but instead of bracing yourself for anything that came up, you started to chicken out first. No one picked on you or still hates you; you made yourself out to be the victim.

Look, start small. Read more, and write more. Once you write something, share it here TO build your confidence, because really, it's the ONLY way I see you overcoming your current obstacle, which is really yourself, no one else.

It's not that we aren't accepting you. It's that you're disregarding advise (Ignoring even). We aren't trying to put you down. Everyone starts off as a beginner. I'm still one right now. I've only been RPing for about 3-4 months. If you participated properly instead of sulking, no one would have said anything.

I was bad enough when I started, needing advise from the GM(mainly Rise-chan) every 2 posts. Hell, even now in the Shadowrun RP, I'm being told off by the GM(this time it's littleRED) for doing stuff my character wasn't supposed to(since I'm not used to the dice roll thing).

If you wanna be an RPer, you'll have to start somewhere. You can't be blaming Dia or any of us, you were the one that said you wanted out, EVEN AFTER I tried to encourage you. After I told you your 1st post was great, you went and delete it. Tried to tell you to put it back up but no, you have to go all sulky because you felt left out.

What happened in the Soul Eater RP was brought upon yourself, let it go and move on like a real adult. Stop talking about that. This thread doesn't include that topic from what I saw.

Now, if you want to learn how to RP or gain confidence in your RPing capabilities - like Art pointed out - read; read and write. Read the old RPs, or the ongoing RP... again read. Don't try to jump in on action right now with no RPs opening accepting users; there is a shortage of RPs right now.

This doesn't exactly contain all the information that should be contained for advanced RPs (like D&D). But this is plenty for Free-form RPing which are common on Fakku whenever RPs are made.

I will say this one last time because I get the impression you two and so many others are missing the point in all this, My problem isnt that I wasn't allowed to RP with them, My problem is the fact that I was treated like shit because of what was nothing more than a panic attack at a bad time...

I apologised more than enough for what I did you, Dia and everyone else I upset and I am still sorry for what happened but in this entire time NOT ONE person has had the decency to even say I forgive you or anything along those line, Instead all of you have done absolutely nothing but try to push the fact I messed up down my throat every single time

I even made this thread because I want to make sure I dont panic again and lose my cool when I am about to RP, to me this shows how much it upset me to have caused so much grief on Fakku and wanting to make sure that something like this doesnt happen again if I am ever given a chance to roleplay again (which might be never)

I don't fully know about the others, or what goes on in their minds but, I'm assuming that we have one thing in common regarding how we're acting towards you: We just don't care about your problems. We don't have the time for it, we have our own lives like you and hence not enough time to pity you or sympathize, either that or we just don't care and have other things to do, it's not like we're all good friends with you, at least not me. Please note that I was not involved in your drama, I simply read through it and asked you to move on and stop talking about it, because this topic is clearly about something else; learning how to RP.

No matter what happens to you IRL, we can't see what's happening to you directly, so we'll naturally deal with you normally as like any other person. Don't expect special treatment on the internet after you do something wrong like whining towards everyone.

I don't think they want to forgive you. You may have apologized, but since when were they obliged to forgive you anyway? It's their wish, if they don't, they just have to suck it up. That said, I don't want to continue talking about something that will never end due to your stubbornness.



No one's gonna take away your chance to RP. It just depends on each and every RPs out there. If this RP doesn't accept you anymore, you just apply for another one if it wants newer players.

I don't know how it feels to give a load of fuck about reputation points. I get a lot more of those than you ever did. Iget -3/-4 every single day. Why do you think I have only 1, or sometimes -1 or -2? Obviously because I have hardcore haters doing that to me everyday. Granted, I'm sick of it, but hey; I just don't care, it's just numbers. I hear that real men can get over stuff like these pretty easily and don't really care about such small things. Grow up dude.
