It wasn't too much of an issue, I made it down to 2,000 without much difficulty. I just didn't want to have some sort of advantage on anyone else from the limits you set, even casually.

Yeah I've been checking and Haven't seen many in a bit. I was planning on posting this weekend but if it gets pushed back I might hold on a bit until afterwards when I'm less busy to recheck my stuff.

I wouldn't mind it. I know several people just wait until the end and procrastination is just how they operate (push the deadline back and they'll just push their work on it back), but it doesn't help that we lost three of our more prominent writers recently (leonard, high, and mibu, though mibu just drops in when he feels like it). I tried spreading the word but it looks like not too many were interested.

Oh well, I was excited just to participate and get my story out there.

Not so many entrants this year, makes reading and giving feedback easier for me. Been a busy year for me, and I am doing NaNoWriMo at the moment, so I would not have had time to enter though.

This contest was started in September, so it did not coincide with NaNoWriMo.

Ah, well, you know how it goes. Was job hunting, I got one, been busy with it for the past months. Working as a Game Designer & Writer at the moment, but the current project I'm on is unannounced so I'm not at liberty to talk about any details yet.

September, well alright, I didn't know it was going on that long. But work keeps me busy, in addition I planned my novel last month and been writing this month.

And OK, I thought this was the winter contest. Is there a date for it yet? I would like to enter it again if I can.

What a job position to have, I'm sure it takes a lot of work but is well worth it. Understandable that you can't talk about details, but I'm not interested in what you can't talk about so much as what you can talk about. Are you enjoying it so far? What are your favorite aspects? It's nice to keep in touch and hear what you've been up to.

Also, feel free to talk about the novel you're working on in the lounge.

As long as everything goes over smoothly, it should be just like every year. The winter contest will start on December 1st and end January 1st. Normally the year's previous winners are invited back the following year to judge, but I've already made preparations for this year's team. Sorry to catch you late, I unfairly grouped you with the other people we have who leave after the contest only to rarely hear from again. If you participate again this year, that would be splendid.

It can be stressful, but I enjoy it at the moment. The project has a high potential and working on it has been quite rewarding so far. My dream for the past years has been to make games, so I'm really just happy to be doing just that. Working with some talented people, getting your work and ideas acknowledged, watching the project grow and come together... it is quite enjoyable.

I will mark it in my calendar so I don't forget. I should have some time on my hands toward the end of December to write something.
I didn't enter to become a judge, so no worries.
