Nothing beats a Pei girl's pretty smiling face!
Nothing also beats a sweet story about two people who were in love and were sooo close to getting what they wanted but didn't, whose lives years later become intertwined again and they then finally take that chance to right the wrongs of their past insecurities and just be happy!
"Izumi-senpai... I love you..."
-"Are you really saying that now?" "Ah... I mean, I was never able to tell you that before... was that weird?"
-"Nah. I've been waiting for it."

I'd argue it's more Virginity is Overvalued, actually. I've been with some damn quick to learn/ communicate virgins. Heck, a major reason Minato and Izumi's reunion works is she does not stress him about his virginity, and he accepts her experience.
Virginity is great if you want a long term relationship that will last decades, but it's bad if you want the most enjoyable short term fling. A problem is that the more experience a girl has, the less likely you're going to be one of the good ones. There is the further issue that a person well practiced in bad or unfulfilling relationships typically continues to have bad or unfulfilling relationships.
hmmmmmm idk this is nice and all but I still feel conflicted somewhat lol. I'm not really sure how to explain it but its like the whole thing played it off as some pure love scenario and she says lines like "I've been waiting for it" but did she really wait tho :/
It's like the whole thing tried to insert some a sort of a relationship that most people can relate to, but at the same time it's less likely to happen irl. I don't know why I'm so bothered by this. It was nice but something about how she was implying that she's always been in love with him, but has a lot of experience kinda just... doesn't connect for me lol. Like she said she waited for him but she really didn't. It felt like I was lied to from how the first few pages went down lol.
Maaan, if she didn't say she waited for him I think it would have been fine. I could have treated as two people rekindling a lost love or something but here it's like "Hey you've always been on my mind but I had a little bit of fun here and there :)" sigh I'm sorry I'm rambling on what I'm saying probably doesn't make sense lol.
tl;dr why can't be just get a vanilla fantasy that feels true to how these characters are portrayed .-.
The reason it feels off is that the guy never moved on while the girl clearly did. It creates an imbalance in how that night matters to each of them. The guy has always loved the girl and regretted the he didn't go out with her. The girl just had a crush on the guy and hopes he fulfills her in way the other guys she has liked haven't. The unfortunate reality is that if she has already dated multiple men and hasn't felt that any of them were worth dating long term, then her crush from highschool isn't going to make the cut either.
A "Second Time Around" with your Senpai, who qualified both then and now as a Sexy Onee-san; either Fate or Kami-Sama has given the MC a chance to do what he failed to do in the past, and he came through fine ... the Lucky Bastard. Plus it seems she was hoping for "that", too.

Izumi reminds us that a nice girl who's had
some sexual experience is still a nice girl.
(Virgins are overrated.)
