It blows my mind that this is the same Takashi who regularly delivers gut-wrenching soul crushers. No matter how many of his vanilla works come through, I'm always on edge for a fucked up twist, and breathe the biggest sigh of relief when things turn out pleasant. Regardless, the art never, ever fails.
Jesus what a great daughter. It's pretty rare for children to be grown up enough to handle divorces as well as that, wanting both their parents to figure things out and then accepting of both of their future choices to that extent. I mean I know this is just fiction and she's been written this way but it still kind of warms my heart.
So, 3 things to take away from this.
1) Divorced fathers can find love that their children approve of.
2) Divorcee daughters can be amazing wingman.
3) Glasses are still sexy AF.
Hmm, I feel like the other two girls might also like him to some extent, but kind of decided they'd rather play wingman for our main girl here. I mean she did mention the two of them also want him to be happy.
"Not a chance", huh. Well, they certainly weren't wrong.
Great ending though. I guess perhaps he's been misunderstanding his daughter. She actually does like him as her father, but he keeps putting her on a pedestal and she doesn't appreciate it that much. Not only resolving his worries, she also became his wingman by telling Haruka that he does actually likes her too. What a nice daughter, she says she's happy to have two nice dads, so maybe next time it'll be her having two nice dads...And TWO nice mums?
