We definitely need more context for these two. It looks like obvious cheating but I'm feeling like it's a fake out due to them mentioning them were supposed to go on a date together all while still seeming pretty casual about taking a "cheating vacation trip" together.
My guess is Hodaka-san's husband has passed away and shes now dating Tokita-kun while still wearing her dead husband's wedding ring. Which is why he got jealous.
