Kid has lots going for him, still. He might not have been able to win the Sugar Mama from her previous relationship, but he is good at making his partner feel good and he knows how to express his feelings. Sure, it's bittersweet, but he has his whole life to meet someone special. And, who's to say Iori-san doesn't get tired of her old man, divorce his ass, and reconnect with the kid who gave her brain-melting orgasms-a-plenty. A sequel where either fate pans out would be a great read, I reckon.

Don't let it end please. One more chapter that's all we need. Please no bittersweet.

Hopefully Shinya graduates and finds a great company to work for and maybe we can get a reunion chapter between him and Iori-san a few years later where we can get that vanilla ending!

He has some growing up to do before he is ready for a woman like Iori, let alone be able to understand her choices and motivations. But regardless, I think that she will always stay in his heart.

Welp, Shinya learned the hard way that he's still got some growing up to do. Not saying that Iori staying with her neglectful husband is right either with her cheating on him, but she clearly wasn't in this to get seriously attached to whomever caught her eye on the app and doesn't need the hassle of a kid catching feelings.

Do you know what happens to vanilla ice cream when you add something (chocolate syrup, strawberries, peaches)? It is still vanilla! Sad ending or not this feels like vanilla.
