Hi, I’m Hiiragi Utena. I’m a normal magical-girl-loving middle school girl—or at least I was, but then some talking mascot showed up out of the blue and cast a spell on me! Now’s my chance to join my beloved magical girls as...a villain? Hang on, something’s wrong with my outfit! This can’t be happening!
Watch this shy magical-girl fan transform into a sadistic dominatrix! When good and evil collide, who will be the one to submit?!
I'll admit this was one of those scenarios where I saw the show so I decided to read it. I won't lie, it does seem the Anime was pretty faithful to the manga. This was really fun, comical, and of course sexy to read!
I enjoy how well the characters are portray, especially their internal thoughts and opinions on magical girls as a whole. I can't wait to read more of the series!
To start..I had no idea fakku has this series available until I saw a volume available on the home page. I had been searching for a way to legally read the manga after watching the first episode of the anime.
This is a must have. The expressions are detailed. The monsters are creative. And the main character sums up how anyone would react to being the bad guy instead of the hero. The only way this could be better is if fakku printed it.
An awakening when introduced to different perspectives
Very wholesome, it reminded me a little of the calibre of Sunstone by Stjepan Sejic, showcasing a gradual awakening for the characters when introduced to different perspectives. The art style fits the piece extremely well. I was enjoying it so much I bought volume 2 before I finished reading volume 1. I can safely say I wasn't disappointed, and vol 1 caught me completely off guard by the time I finished it. Always good when a story keeps you guessing. 5/5 I hope it will be available in paperback at some point.
She is making the best of her situation. You can see her slowly starting to enjoy her role.
I liked the art style. It was very nice to look at. There were a few times where I couldn't really tell what was going on (close-up of her wings, close-up of her wrapping her arm across Magia Azure's breasts, a few actions were stylishly simplified... Probably to keep the manga from looking violent. I had to look at a few panels a few times to understand what happened.) Anyway, look closely at the art and you can see how clever Utena is.
It was silly at times and fun to read; a light-hearted story. Nothing too serious.
The little mascot is a bit suspicious. (P. 88) Oh, no!!!!
The other reviews are right.
Very good story. Nice art. Strange mix of genres, but it works! I cannot wait for the next volumes!!!!
Akihiro Ononaka, you are amazing! I love your story!!!
Fakku, thank you!
