Kasa means "hat."
In this (per)version of the tale, kasa has been cleverly changed to kasu,
which means "scumbag." It's obviously a reference to the Jizo's selfish,
lecherous behavior (which is radically different from the virtuous, bene-
volent behavior of the statues in the original tale).

In one version of the tale, the Jizo reward the
elderly couple for their kindness by escorting
