@emberceapea - as I see it, story is encroaching on the subject of the homunculi as they exist in the world in this story, and that while the majority opinion of so-called normal humans is to look upon them as servants, slaves, sex toys, etc., there indeed exists perhaps a relatively small yet growing counter-opinion that some people do not regard homunculi in that manner. Perhaps the counter-idea is not yet fully developed, nor is it readily accepted by the majority of normal humans, but it is there nonetheless.
Yes, I agree. To be honest I'd say there has been very little progression over the course of 12 chapters. And the themes of artificial beings having rights (which here I guess they do and also don't?) and forbidden love haven't really been expanded upon. I can't help but compare this series to Yucchris's There's No Such Thing as 18+ in This World and how much more those characters develop in less chapters. Sorry to any fans of Cat-Eared Slaves
Yeah, the common issues with these 3 to 4 plus chapter series that I've noticed are either they lack direction, they become kinda redundant (like the story here), or they get away from the original theme altogether. I love this series but some of the latest chapters does make me ask myself if I've read that chapter before.
And don’t forget to praise the Goddess of Sequels \o/
