hi! thanks for the reply. i checked the dude's twitter and the kanji 神社 he uses for his pen name apparently mean shrine (a shinto shrine specifically) and are pronounced jinja (according to google translate), just like japanese would probably pronounce the english word ginger. so it's probably a wordplay on both ginger ale and shinto shrines.
