Its happened(falls to knees weeping) he has finally come, YAMATOGAWA! by the gods i knew you'd come! Edit: i post this cause his books are finally getting posted here and i haven't purchased it yet so i couldn't comment there yet but i had to express myself
I’ve been a big fan of Yamatogawa for a long time, since I started reading reading Hentai manga at the age of 14 or 15 and I seen to remember liking a particular artist. Years later I found that all my favorite erotic stories were in fact done by Yamatogawa. Long story short I Love Yamatogawa’s artworks and I’m happy to know more of his work will be legally available in English once more. Thanks FAKKU team.
Like others, I hope this paves the way for Fakku to take over Yamatogawa's works (especially his upcoming work). Unfortunately DMI has been fraught with mismanagement and cut corners. If not, I look forward to all I can get through Comic Koh!
Never heard of the artist before but definitely looking forward to seeing more of their work in the future! This was as sweet and sentimental - perfect vanilla release
You are lucky then. Yamatogawa is a God of harem vanilla. He's pretty slow last 2 years. But there is a few full books you can read and enjoy. Power Play and Witchcraft for example is books with 1 main story. Others are just random vanilla chapters collection with some 2-3 chapters short stories. It is always awesome art and stories. You can find them on sad panda. Not sure when fakku get rights for his previous works.
Ah, cool! This short story was pretty hot. I like Yamatogawa's artwork. This person authored Witchcraft, which is one of my favorite adult manga works.
This was one of my original favorites, way back when...I miss Aqua Bless too. Love Yamatogawa, honestly some of my favorite work. Really exited about this addition to the site!
love this new addtion but im kinda worried about fakku dealing with too magazines cuz so many works from shirakuten, and kairakuten, xeros works are already not being published after adding more magazines :(
I think you may be right about Inu books, I haven't seen the website updated in along time either. They use to be fairly active on Twitter but ever since they moved their office they've been mostly silent. I know they did a handful of reprints late last year that I was able to snag a bunch that I wanted but that was it.
Ya, they were much better, @OtakuMike. I didn't mean to diss the 2nd eds, but I still feel like they were under what is par for Fakku. I have not seen a physical release from them in quite a while, maybe the Inu books a year ago?
I have all the second edition releases of his books from Project-H and they are really good quality. It's sad what Project-H has become recently but still support them as much as I do Fakku. Unfortunately I have a feeling that they won't be around much longer so I've been snagging up any uncensored titles of theirs that I can find.
Is Fakku taking over the license of his work to the US from Project-H, or do they just have the rights to it as released in the magazine? I enjoyed their release of the Vanilla Essence book, in which this was included.
Since it's labeled as being from Comic Koh Vol.1, presumably, they got it as part of the deal with picking up Comic Koh rather than licensing Vanilla Essence. So, it wouldn't surprise me if the images for FAKKU's version and Project-H's version differ slightly due to differences between the magazine release and the tankoubon, though the magazine and tankoubon versions don't always differ. Also, this isn't the first time that FAKKU has released something that Project-H also released. https://store.fakku.net/products/infection-sodom was released by both FAKKU and Project-H. So, surprisingly, the fact that one of the two of them has licensed something doesn't guarantee that the other can't like you'd normally expect, though it still hasn't happened much.
But based on the announcement, FAKKU is treating this magazine a bit differently. They're going back to the beginning rather than releasing the current issues immediately. So, we're potentially going to be seeing content from this magazine that was previously released by Project-H in a tankoubon (though probably not much, since they don't release much these days).
I just checked this against the Project-H's released of Vanilla Essence, and aside from the translation of the text and how the sound effects were dealt with, pretty much everything is identical until the last page, which is almost completely different between the two. The tankoubon version has an image that takes up the entire page with the text from the top panel from the magazine version, and it doesn't have any of the other panels from that page, which I guess makes it end in a manner that's a bit more romantic rather than funny. But regardless, it's clear that FAKKU doesn't have the version from the tankoubon. Personally, I think that I actually prefer the last page from this version, but regardless, with this release, a version of this chapter is available to FAKKU subscribers who haven't bought Project-H's release of the tankoubon (though that's one that I'd recommend that folks buy).
Ah, a love born from their mutual love of stargazing, which her...late father got her into, essentially. So, her father was quite the wingman from years back, eh? Astronomer Senpai even acknowledges this. Amazing. It was kind of sad though when she talked about how her father passed without being able to keep his promise to her. But hey, I'm sure our protagonist would be more than willing to fulfil the promise in his late (to be) father in law's place? No need to be rivals, I'm sure they can work together. And I'd like to think that ol' daddy is up high is giving a thumbs up at how things are going, just like us readers.
Sorry, let met just gather the pool of drool I've just created in my excitement :-)
