This is what most of the Cheating tags mean on Fakku. The distinction with NTR is usually defined by which partner is more relatable: in NTR, the cuckold is relatable, and in Cheating, the "other guy/girl" is relatable.

Something about a title like that hints me towards one of two ways the story could have gone...But in a way, I'm really glad it ended up on this end of what I thought could happen.
