Urobuchi left the show after episode 3...
It was before that I think, if we are talking about the story

I did not create the characters in Aldnoah. I made the mainframe of the story until the preliminary version. But in fact Inaho’s character is different than what I wrote. I don’t really have a connection with this character, so this is an exception.

Gen says he wrote the first three episode but then is going to pass the baton to another guy (llook him up) for the rest. He saw some of it and it looks really good.
It's reported that Gen made a tweet about washing his hands after doing his part, so it's possible he was dissatisfied with the anime.
People are saying that Urobuchi did the writing for Aldnoah Zero which was likely altered after he left, but around episode three he stopped scripting and left it to the guy who did Boku no Pico(
Takayama, Katsuhiko,....eww) which might explain the fairly bad scenes. At the same time people are saying he's responsible for the last two episodes but that's contradictory to the interview so I'm skeptical about that statement. So this is probably a good lesson for me and a few others to not trust big-names in a series. I'm just laying out facts, personally I am going to let this stew a bit until the gossip mill and Slain'd-craziness dies down to decide what is going on with Aldnoah Zero's cast.
I'll probably still hang around for season 2.
