Cut them some slack, while J.C. Staff isn't the best, calling them horrible is going a bit too far; they've had some pretty decent productions in the past especially when you consider their budgets aren't nearly as large as Kyo's. Hope for something decent, but don't set yourself up for disappointment before the first episode has even been aired; it could actually not be terrible but you'd still have a bad opinion of it because of the placebo effect.

So, I take back what I said, the animation looks great (as long as they don't fuck it up during the actual show). Now let's see if they can manage to grasp some of the more subtle elements that made the KEY/Kyoani animes so freaking good.

With all of the KyoAni circlejerk/JC Staff bashing going on in this thread, I thought I stumbled back onto /a/. It sure is popular to fault companies that have a had a lot of successful works just because they're not as successful as other companies.

Also, having seen the first episode of Little Busters, I like it. If every episode is as faithful to the visual novel as this one was (which is unlikely given the nature of the visual novel and how IMPOSSIBLE it will be to accurately represent the "keymagic" as people like to call it) I can see myself being very pleased with this adaptation. But even if it isn't, I'm still just glad to see someone animating it. There are a lot of haters out there, but I think sometimes people forget what anime is about. It's about enjoying the medium and the fresh perspective it grants us in comparison to American cartoons and whatnot. I was particularly excited seeing my favorite characters moving about, animated and walking into scenes that had me saying, "I remember this from the visual novel!"

Most people complain about JC Staff is not because they are less successful, but they're infamous at ruining some adaptations. The most well known cases were "Yumekui Merry" and "Hidan no Aria", The distrust stems from there.

and the fact that people associate KEY -> KyoAni is also at fault. Proven by original KEY animes "re-adapted" by KyoAni, is better than the original Toei adaptation.

Basically people are scared that they will ruin Little Busters, just like how DEEN ruined the original Fate/stay Night.

Kanon (2002) = Suck.
Kanon (2006) = Awesome.

Little Busters! (2012) = ???
Little Busters! (2016) = !!!

LOL, I would laugh so hard if KyoAni decided to re-adapt it anyway even IF JC Staff did a great job with the adaptation lol

I loved that they used the game's ost, like usual. Really nostalgic.

I do too, but some people have been trying to twist that as "Oh they used the game's OST because they had to, Little Budget mirite hurrhurrhurr"

Haven't played the VN yet but the anime looks interesting after the first episode. Just waiting for the Key-disaster to happen

Really liking it so far, animation is good and it has that distinct KEY adaptation feeling.
