episode 16
well, i'm surprised that the "surprise factor" for this week was that the disciplinary president and the trouble maker are twins. i mean, when we were first introduced to both, i thought that was a given - same eyes, hair, and hair ornament as well as the dynamic between them. no offense, but the whole sibling rivalry taken to the extreme has been done many a time before. i thought when we introduced to both of them, everyone already knew that they were related but just weren't talking about it. guess it was supposed to be hidden?
i'm not sure if it's due to my experience of watching many anime or becoming a cold heartless person (i don't think i'm becoming this) or if it's the anime itself, but this anime hasn't really affected me at all that other jun maeda works have.
The anime fails as an adaptation, IMO. Play the VN.
I wouldn't call it a failure. It's done a good job of capturing alot of the character antics and the jokes, 'fights', title-naming and for the most part, this 'common' route isn't so bad. It's similar to the Clannad adaptation; the problem I see is there's still so much ground to be covered it's unfunny.
But yes, if you do want a more genuine expression of this absolutely mind-blowing go play the VN.
I disagree. Clannad has a superb adaptation, where even the most boring part in the VN was blend and animated nicely into a much more enjoyable segment. In the case of Little Buster, I enjoyed the VN much more than Clannad, but I dont felt even a speck of it in the anime. It does capture the antics and the jokes, but not the timing and the storytelling as much as the VN, giving a sense of 'missed'.
Just my 2 cents.
