Anime/Manga that are special to you

I wanted to see what Anime/Manga you guys have fond memories of. You can explain why it's special to you or you can just list them , I don't really care, I thought this would be a good topic.
Some Anime that is special to me is:
Ichigo 100% - Me and a good friend of mine used to love watching an episode a day, then meeting up at school and discussing it. We would have fights over who the main character would pick and stuff like that.
Shakugan No Shana - I LOVE LOLI, but other than that, it reminds me of back in the summer when I would just sit in my basement, at my computer watching anime. I don't know about you guys but that was the best shit ever to do. Better than smoking weed and shit even.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya/Bleach/Gundam Wing - I put all three of these together because their all equally important to me. I really connected with these animes, I don't even know why, like looking back, I get so nostalgic tears well up and shit in my eyes even.
So that's it for me, what about the rest of you? :)

Strawberry Panic! It is by far the most beautiful, romantic story I have ever known. It made me crazy for yuri animes; it's the first anime I thought was worth paying for the DVDs.

Gantz. I honestly used to be really shallow. When I hated the art, I would refuse to read it. But after my friend encouraged me to read Gantz, whose art was really ugly to me, I began loving story more than art. Even now when I dislike the art, I'm more than willing to give the manga a chance.

Love Hina - Both the first manga I read and my first anime. It will always be quite special. Not to mention it's really good.
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - Friggin' sad, and the first time i cried watching a movie of any kind.
Great Teacher Onizuka - This is one of the few series that is awesome no matter what. he manga is awesome, the anime is awesome and even the Live Action series is awesome.
Kanon - What can I say? I love it, I love the game, and the remake of it. One of the best I've ever seen, no doubt.

Ranma 1/2:
The first manga I ever read or bought. I'd seen the first five or so episodes of the anime thanks to a very cool Hollywood Video that was near my house, and I was very glad to see a comic book form of a show that I loved. Most memorable moment involving this series - I was reading one of the books during "reading hour" (also known as "teacher doesn't feel like doing shit" hour) in one of my classes in middle school, and it got taken up, I guess for not being a real "book." I had to go to the principal's office after school to get it back. Thank God they didn't look through it and see the naked boobs.
Marmalade Boy:
The first (and so far, only) complete manga series I've ever owned. I saw the first dozen episodes or so thanks to a guy who had fansub tapes in an anime club I was in; years later, when I saw the first book in a Suncoast Video store, I had to buy it. I remembered the anime and that I had loved it, even if I didn't really remember anything about it. I read the entire first volume in one sitting and reread it several times over the next two months, while I was waiting for the second volume to be released. Then, I bought the second volume and repeated the whole ordeal until the eighth and final book was released. So, it's a very good series, and it's the only series where I've bought each volume as soon as it was released. Also, I was reading through one of the books during winter one year, and at the same time, I was getting very close to a female friend of mine who killed herself not quite a year ago, so whenever I think of Marmalade Boy, I think of her and how I wished I'd talked to her at least once these past five years.

Aside from my favorites, I guess the only thing 'special' to me is Pokemon (anime). It's really the only anime/manga where I actively pursued aspects of the community created from it.

Love Hina: First harem that I have ever watched.
DBZ: This was kind of my gateway to anime, asked my cousin about it then he rented Princess Mononoke, which furthered my interest.
Full Metal Panic: First anime that moved me to the point where I cried.

That's easy.
1. Cowboy Bebop- It was the first great anime I ever watch and is the one that got me started watching anime, may have not been the first but without it I never would have gotten into anime or hentai (oh no). I still say that it is my personal favorite and one of the ton ten anime of all time.
2. Bleach- Well I have to say it for the sole reason that.... well I mean.
3. Bitter Virgin- Well I mean if you've read this then you already know why I absolutely love this manga. There's no need for a explanation I literally could not put it down, I was at the dinner table with my computer reading while I was eating. Ah! My Goddess, the five-episode OVA to be exact, had been most influential in shaping me into being the anime enthusiast that I am now. Although I may not necessarily think the world of it, the anime franchise (in its entirety) is very dear to me for whatsoever reason I cannot really speak of.

The anime that changed my view toward commedy to a whole new level. No anime that i've watched so far have ever exceed the amount of laughter this anime have contributed. Even now it remains as one of the few animes that i'll introduce to my friends.
With a insane amount of commedy, Good characters to go with it, Character developments and Chivary. I say, GO WATCH IT.
