For once, I agree with the Soviet's. Yuuya wasn't a hero, he was just the guy with the fancy new gun. Still, his constant moping on the subject could have been avoided. Also...Chobi did something I don't hate her for. Kinda calling out Princess on protecting Yuuya like that was a good point. And...underground attack incoming. I smell a slaughterfest...

So much for Yui trying to keep Yuuya safe...although, he does make a good point about getting real combat experience. If he keeps hiding behind that gun, or Yui keeps holding him back in reserve, he will never become a "proper" pilot.

I just have to wonder, how much power does Heinemann have? I mean, isn't he technically a civilian consultant? And technically, Boening doesn't even make that many TSFs, compared to some other American firms...and why is Sandek (the Putin-esque officer) helping him?


Then again, MuvLuv made a point long-ago that American industries will work with everyone and everything to fuck people over and get paid.

Also, I could have sworn I heard Cave Johnson talking in there somewhere when Heinemann ordered all those TSFs deployed.

Chobi(t) craving some Yuuya should not be a surprise now.

As much as I detest Soviet Union proper, I can't help but wish that all those Soviet kids get CHOMP'd by BETA anyway. And the BETA should CHOMP every other Russian besides Cryska and Inia while they're at it.

Next up though, we should have some proper BETA slaughter. Complete with another base burning.

Also, Terminators ballerina act was fun to watch. Need moar.

Those snakey Soviet bastards. They're willing to sacrifice a whole damn front-line base, just so they can swipe the Type 99. Bunch of assholes. Oh well, Lt. Awesome seems to be on it...provided she doesn't become BETA chow.


On a secondary note

Chobi once again does something I don't hate her for. Calling that bitchy Soviet out on being a "Dish it out, but can't take it" type was awesome.

Once again, TSF's prove incapable of showing up unless everyone but Lt. Awesome has been rendered into BETA snacks. Dang shame too. That Yamamoto guy was kinda cool. But, he broke one of the classic rule of Alien Invasion Attacks, by going alone into a dark tunnel. At least Lt. Awesome put him out of his misery. And...holy hell, that's a BIG BETA coming...

Damn. Yuuya is pretty boss. His machine all crippled and such, and he just starts tearing those BETA fucksticks up with a knife. Even with both his units hands torn off, he just charges in all boss and such. I hope he makes it out alive...

That's what they get for trying to rape the Russian secret project.

I will miss Zhar 06 though, I guess I have a weak spot for tsun-tsun.

Also, the antennas on shira-2 look terrible.

Pretty good episode. Damn shame about the Zhar Battalion(Well, Commander Latrova anyway. The rest I was happy to see go) getting wiped out. Whoever that mystery Eeshi pilot was, he(She?) was damn scary. Just mopping the BETA up left and right. Woo. A fancy new Japanese TSF, and Yuuya finally wising up about his bad attitude. Bout time.


I sense promise for the second half of the show.
