Anime Noob?!

i deal with a friend on a regular basis who just watch's bleach and naruto.

when he tells me he watched something awesome, i was like thats great, im in the last arc of umineko no naku koro ni, or some other new series that he'd never watch, and overwhelm him with the synopsis of the episode. that usually shuts him up, and its the same with the other bleachtards/ narutards. i find that as long as you overload their brains with other anime series, they become more docile and easier to handle.

Most of the "anime noobs" I've met, and I assume most of the ones you guys are talking about are the same way, are kids, which means that I don't like to deal with them period. No offense to anyone, but that means anyone under the age of 20, because pretty much everyone under 20 has some shit to work on, and that's okay, because that's what the teenage years are for.

So, yeah, I don't put up with any of that shit because I don't deal with kids. Best way to avoid it.

As for people who simply don't know much about anime, I try to educate them as best I can, by giving them info and suggesting series that they might like. I also try to get them to not be arrogant. Liking anime isn't a big pro in life, and there's no reason to feel better about yourself just because you know more or have seen more than anyone else. You shouldn't feel ashamed about the fact either, but we all have something in common, liking anime, and we should focus on that above all else.

You make a fair enough point but dont you cringe a bit when you see a group of people over 20 with Naruto headbands strapped on their foreheads in a bookstore arguing loudly about the validity of the chakra system?

I won't mind people cosplaying.....as long as they look extremely close to the actual character. like an ugly guy dressed up as an anime character, ummm no.... That just annoys me but i ignore it, or i do some other alternatives(like going up to their face and saying, "haha you look like an idiot(and so on)" <-- that only happened once.)
Anime fans speaking Japanese and they don't know how to speak it properly,.... Personally i think its annoying, unless its like a conversation or a thread about it or something. I ignore it though, although my respect for the person probably drop significantly.

I ignore them most of the time, rarely....sometimes.... I do something else.

Edit: Except this one time, I had a friend who was completely obsessed with bleach and would talk about it all the time. He only watches the anime, so he doesn't know whats going on in the manga future of it. One day, he was ranting off about bleach on and on, and i just tell him everything ahead of where ever his at, he was silent about bleach for about a week. (TAKE THAT! YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT BLEACH?!?! WELL YOUR WRONG!!!!)

A pocky is a long white thing covered in chocolate. Anime girls like to eat them because it lets them fantasize about eating a chocolate cover dick which never happens in anime or hentai.

Thats funny. How just by adding the word "Men's" it is now appropriate for men to eat it. Haha i remember now, i used to eat pocky since i was a little kid, i didn't know about the chocolate covered dick thing though. ( I stopped eating them like 2 years ago. cause i couldn't find them)

Luckily I have never met that kind of person but I can understand how you feel and I hope I don't have to talk to that kind of ignorant idiot.

But without Japan there would be no Sushi or ramen or Toyotas or Honda Civics or other economic cars or Play Stations or Nintendos or Mario or Tales of or katanas or hentai! I mean what is Fakku without hentai?. Lelouch is cool but he is not the best character, bit too emo sometimes, it takes many hard lessons to get rid of his sister complex, he has no clue about luv... But besides that just be patient with them. They know not what they do. The path of the true otaku to save those less educated then oneself. Try to save them if you can and turn a deaf ear to those that cannot.

Kunai by tradition aren't very sharp. It would be more an exercise in hilarity to see them fumble around with the tiny iron spike compared to they're expectations of one are. Most would probably ask for a real one in which case you can just tell them that is is one.

I was at a local HMV and some guy was creaming his pants that the new boxset for season whatever was out for Naruto. I picked up a boxset for Paranoia Agent and he started having a go at me for not getting the latest thing to be out. I just asked him why would I buy something I don't want. I like Naruto but am not going to buy it, as for me it has no re-watching value.

I rememeber when I was a narutard. Ahhh but im no longer one. I still like Naruto but not as much as I use to. Naruto is a good anime, but there is way better anime out there.

I've seem anime noobs before too and I cringe when they say they are an anime freak but don't know 75% of the anime I can rattle off in the span of a minute which is about 40. I usually just refer them to the sites I use like instantz.net or anilinkz.com. We might as well give them a break since a lot of those naruto and bleach fans are children in elementary school or middle school and they don't know any better. I like Naruto and Bleach but 95% of the time I prefer to watch it subbed and I usually only watch the latest episode because Naruto and Sakura dubbed make me wanna beat myself in the head with a hammer.

I don't like people who try to proclaim they know an anime and when I start talking about an episode or anime they don't know they change the subject or say they have seen it and it sucks but can't tell me what they don't like about it. I glady enjoy putting those idiots in their place. The worst I hate are idiots who say they are Gundam fans but the only Gundam show they have seen is Gundam 00 which as far as I'm aware is the only series that airs on Cartoon Network and they look at me like an idiot when I say I love Gundam Seed and Gundam Wing. I also hate the type that isn't interested in expanding their anime horizons. They wanna claim they are otaku but they don't consider there are other series that are good besides the ones they have discovered on their own
