Unfortunately most people can't get used to the idea.
Their adaptation with Baka Test was unique but no one complained about it, but with this they complained like hell, even though there's nothing harmful. That just shows how some people are just manga fan boys to the bone.
Haruhi was a chaos of episode disorder but everybody liked it, Baccano was a chaos of timeline but everybody liked it. But just one episode that's not in order for this and people starts flipping tables... FACEPALM
I'm actually quite a ass when it comes to episode jumping, unless there's a good reason to do so, i'd rather them just stick to doing it the old fashion way.
Silver Link's episode jumping ways could be their "unique trait" but really...in this case, they backfired. They jumped ahead with the kirie, made a helluva blunt start and pretty much confused everyone who had little to no knowledge of the manga itself before commencing on the REAL first episode.
Manga boys, can't say i don't understand their ways but in this case... grow up. Such people exist that i don't engage in MAL at all anymore.
I don't hate silver link for doing such a thing. Just that after withnessing so many VN adaptations being destoryed, i naturally have a negative view point towards adaptation that isn't a carbon copy. Ef is special exception in my books though.
