Another

I just finished watching all the episodes and I must say this was a great show. I'm usually not into the whole "everybody dies" thing ([size=10]well not exactly everyone[/h]), but this show may be an exception. I wouldn't mind seeing a season two.

Its a freaking piece of art

I just watched Ep 1 which Kaimax reffered to as the introduction episode and I am pretty confuzzled and I like that confused feeling. This show reminds me an awful alot of Higurashi from watching just the first episode but I'm gonna continue now and see where it leads me.

Edit: I just finished it and damn was it worth it, sooooo good.

I actually laughed at some of the hilariously stupid deaths of certain people, but all in all it was very good. I did not find the ending to be all that great because of the hilarity, but the journey was well worth it.

I second that. Not because of the hilarity, but also because that it simply failed to bring a climatic ending. Of course, this might be caused by the upcoming OVA, or perhaps, season 2.

So it get's better after the first episode?

It has similar plot elements to The Ring, it just gave me that vibe when I watched it. I love how the plot unfolds and the subtle hints you get to find out the (´･ωï½¥`). you never get filler episodes, once you start with the first it just snowballs up to the epic finale.

That depends on how you see it, the plot thickens and gets harder to understand until they reveal it all in the end but that's just my opinion. But as I said, kaimax himself said that episode 1 was just an introduction so you're not really supposed to expect anything from it.

The finished reading the manga and it didn't scare me at all. I should have watched the anime adaptation first. I can't fully feel its scare factor due to that. Geez..

Anyway, the manga has quite a bit of crappy translation, so I expect that I would be able to understand the story better by watching this anime.

By the way, I don't get the reason why they designed the elevator to skip the 4th floor. I find it totally ridiculous, since it doesn't even have any relation to the story itself.

If I'm not mistaken, it's because the Japanese for "4" can also be read as "death". A pretty typical Japanese superstition similar to the number "13".

it happen to me (almost)
when mei-chan start talking about her eye, i was like ' is she going to show it'
but when mei-chan really reveal her secret eye, i was like ' oh so that it..'
and start questioning where the hell she got those psyco eyes anyways.

So far this anime feels like The Sixth Sense and Fight Club. In other words so far so good.

The overall anime is great, but the ending, not so much. It didn't expound on why people get killed though; they focused more on how to prevent their deaths.

that being said, the reason behind it was ambiguous, either curse or a natural incident? the extra person seems to be the main cause.

I just hope they do. It really has the potential to be a really great anime since there aren't much of this genre nowadays.



The deaths were mostly orbiting around the extra person but it didn't expound on why they died. I haven't read the manga, but I've heard that they focus more on the reason why people get killed. I think that would have been a better flow of events for the anime. That said, they might have also been lacking in budget, which could probably explain why the anime was pretty short and the ending felt kind of rushed for me.
