Often when I watch harem anime I find myself yelling at the screen going "YOU FUCKING IDIOT!",
but I want to find more leads that are just plain awesome.
so far I have 2:
Sugisaki ken from Seitokai no ichizon.
and Issei Hyoudou from highschool dxd.
any others?

Araragi Koyomi, that despite being a pervert and a lolicon (my god, Onimonogatari), he's still capable of being mostly noble and loyal to Senjougahara. Not to mention as a character, he isn't dense and worthless.

Same here, i agree with this (and i do that often watching a harem anime too, that or laughing, depends of the situation xD)
Tsukune from Rosario Vampire is good too, although i don't know if the manga still counts as harem series, it's gotten pretty serious (and awesome lol)

And he makes me laugh. That is pretty rare for harem leads imo.

Half the time you don't know whether to laugh at him or with him, can't wait for more. Especially Kabuki and Hanamonogatari (we see future araragi).
