When Lelouch was trapped by the Brittanian soldiers I was just like GEASS MOTHERFUCKER, CAN YOU USE IT?

if you look at the opening to it, one of the images you see is the emperor with Geass in his right eye. Then, in the ending credits, you see V.V. with the emperor in one pic - further raising suspicious.

I don't think CC of all people would seal Lelouch's Geass. I mean, it's because he has that power that he is capable of opposing Brittania. I think that CC's "eye hurting" might have to do something with Suzaku as well. She seemed to sense something from Suzaku, which is what caused her to get out of the Gawain in the first place.

I do wonder what's up with the sealed-unsealed Geass. Shirley is her old self, but Kallen, Suzaku, and Viletta seem to have their memories intact. Assuming that VV sealed the Geass, how would he know to alter Shirley's memories? Well, I suppose that all the Ashford Academy students' memories may be tampered with. That one Brittanian did claim to "raising the bait". That would require that no students interfere.

Simply put, at the end of series 1, Lelouch and C.C. got found out. Suzaku obviously didn't go "OMFG, dude. You killed Eupihie, but since we're good friends and all, I'll forgive you. Hell, I'll even forget all this". Went more like "Sonovabitch, DIE!"

So, the simplest way to hide Lelouch and keep him safe, I guess, would be to essentially hit a reset button on his life. Hide a Brittanian Student in a Brittanian school. Who would know?

It wouldn't explain why the Emperor nor Suzaku have killed Lelouch, but it does sound plausible as to why he spent a year as a student.

I actually think that Suzaku may have let Lelouch go. I mean, Suzaku could have easily shot Lelouch's gun to pieces before he could pull the trigger. This is the guy who dodged bullets before and has that "live" command. Secondly, Lelouch placed Sakuradite on his chest, so if Suzaku killed him, everyone would've lost.

That aside, I still don't think CC would've sealed the Geass. She would've needed foresight to see the Lelouch-Suzaku-Kallen problem. She also had Orange-kun to take care of, and she probably knew they were dealing with someone with her levels of powers (aka VV).

"To hide a leaf, stash it in a forest. To hide a key, make it look like a leaf." That's all well and good, except that Brittanian soldier called Lelouch "bait" and Villetta is mysteriously in Ashford as if to hunt Lelouch down. Meaning that Lelouch was hardly hidden from view in the first place.
