Code Geass R2

sets itself up but doesn't execute what's there.

I just realized it. There is no way Lelouch get the code. At least not in ep 24. Because he can use the geass. For Charles can`t use the power of Geass anymore when he get the code. So the only way for him to gain it is in episode 25.

Well the fact Nunnaly see Lelouch`s past makes it certain that Lelouch get the code.
edit: it is an anime. There is no way they would be so detail. Well what makes me curios is why they have to show Lelouch wound.

the only reason that the show could be considered a trainwreck is the amount of plotholes sunrise created. there were several plotlines which were introduced but never really end in a result.
examples are:
C.C.s name - that scene in s1 ep11 i think when she revealed her name to lelouch was a very touching one. besides, C.C. is always by lelouchs side, as well as being a main character. So its a bit awkward that her name was not revealed in the end.
XingKe - he lives ... THAT DUDE DIDNT KICK THE F*CKING BUCKET! (HARHAR I HAS A BUCKIT!)

second reason for trainwreckness would be the plotrushing in the last bunch of episodes. especially the episodes R2 20+21 where everything about marianne and ragnarok was a bit ... ya know SUBIDO MODO! especially R2 20 was so utterly confusing when i watched it the first time ...

but that aside, the series was great overall: the epic overall plot, the spinzaku owning everything, pizza hut, C.C. ... the only things i disliked during watching geass and reading different opinions (here on fakku, at zomgforums and ofc on codetrainwreck) were as already said the plotholes and reading darthfury's utter dump LelouchxMilly theories (sry for that)
and FUCK YEAH C.C. is F*CKING HOT!

well imo sunrise just put on the YHBT tag on the ending of the series, since it really was fairly cowardly to leave an ending open that much.
and since i am the ZOMG-CC-HAS-TO-BE-HAPPY-type of guy, i am going with the HE IS FRICK'N ALIVE theory.
the only thing that troubles me would be the fact, that I suppose he got C.C.s code. Cuz in the finale, C.C. was praying in the curch and saying something like: "Lelouch, as reward for you casting geass on others, I ..." *cry*
this could pretty much indicate that c.c. gave her code to lelouch.
(the only thing troubling me would be the fact that c.c. will grow old and lelouch not so he eventually has to be lonely again???? quite ironic isnt it?)

The only thing I'll nit pick is that C.C.'s name is not a plothole. It's just a mystery, and not all questions will be answered. A closed and perfectly solved show is a bit... boring.

There are a few figures could have ties to the inspiration for C.C..

I can see how she could be an allusion to Cú Chulainn, seeing as he is one of the better known figures in mythology who had a geis. At one point he answers a beheading challenge made by Cú Roí. That alone might not say much, but when you look at Arthurian legend, there is a poem call Sir Gawain and the Green Knight which pretty much mirrors the challenge with the Green Knight as the one who issues the challenge. When Gawain first appeared in the series, I started to think about the possible connection between C.C. and the Green Knight.

I think there may also be some kind of allusion to Morgan le Fay of Arthurian legend. At some point when we were discussing names I mentioned that Marianne could have been inspired by Morgause, who in some instances was referred to as Anna or some variation. Morgan le Fay was one of Morgause's sisters which kind of reflects Marianne and C.C.'s relationship earlier in the timeline.

Code Geass R2... so many things, so little brain power to capacitize.

Overall, I enjoyed it for what it was, a trainwreck nonetheless, but a good one. Many plotholes, character resurrections, and this one-man army thing kinda made the series like, "wtf", but I still enjoyed the action and the badassness of several characters as well as the ridiculous feats of tactical genius.

Nunnally should have been put into a straightjacket like Kallen. Boo.

Another thing: Lelouch is dead, dead, dead.

Differences in opinion aside, could you be a little more creative than "trainwreck"? I mean, it's been used OVER 9000 times.

C.C. being Cú Chulainn is lulz :lol:
Maybe we'll see her running around in Fate/Stay Night as a servant next :P

@ZeroOBK: would shipwreck be preferable? Maybe the term "car accident" would suffice.

Exactly. It was never ambiguous to begin with, Lelouche's death. I don't know why people would think otherwise.

Well the producer made a pseudo-ambiguous ending cause Sunrise executives wanted it for some reason, even though the producer totally opposed to it.

Apparently I've been hearing that the light novels also has Taniguchi's true ending at the very end too? Either way, it's obvious that he's alive, or they could be trolling otherwise
