Fate/Stay Night movie announced: Unlimited Blade Works

So, what do you guys think it's going to be? A remake of the series, or a new movie following UBW, HF, or even Fate/Hollow Ataraxia's (minor) storyline?

Uffff ... For a moment there I thought it's gonna be a live action crap movie.

Anyways, I'm in 'YEAH!' mode for now all the more since the so-called official movie site has a UBW shot in it. Most of the fans (me induced) seem to have been screaming for it's adaptation as well.
Problem is - how are they gonna properly pack even a single scenario into a movie when a 24-episode long series had such serious pacing issues ? Then again the key to success would probably be sticking to a single damn route and not stuffing in bits and pieces from all 3...

Odds are, it'll be UBW. compared to the VN, It will be seriously lacking, but regardless, I'm still checking it out right when its released.

I think that the movie will definitely be about UBW or Heaven's Feel, mainly because the Anime didn't cover them.

Wonder what they'd replace the sex scenes with BTW. Sure are a lot of scenes to replace ...

Big chance it will be UBW.

IMO HF isn't suited for a movie since the route isn't focused to already well-known characters, but revealing stories behind the Grail War scene. And because the heroine is Sakura (which ranked 6th in the popularity contest even though she's one of the main heroines :lol:). But seriously, if they make HF route then it will be difficult for first timers and people who don't play the VN which means less income.


But if they're going to remake the Fate Route complete with the romantic scenes and the last episodes from RN, I swear to God I'll stop fapping for a month.

You have to remember, maybe if they did HF, they would draw in a different crowd, one that likes a darker, deeper storyline.

Though to stay linear, UBW would make sense.

Hmm...I prefer this to be HF...because as much as I love UBW, I know I don't want to watch an express-UBW just because of some money-milking move...

UBW is epic because of Shirou x Archer struggles(and Lancer's and Assassin's GARness), and that can't be packed in just 90 mins...

And I'd like it to be Fate, too. Wanna see somesome being deprived of faps...

I saw the anime before I played the actual VN. I concluded that the fate route was just a warm up for the other routes. I liked UBW and HF equally, but for different reasons. So I don't care which of the two the movie will adapt off of, just as long as it isn't the Fate route. However, I doubt they'll do the HF route, way too many sex scenes.

For a moment, I thought this wasn't really a movie.

But Upon further inspection of the site's title, I translated it in babel Fish:

Directly Translates to:
"Theater edition 'Fate/stay night' official sight"

Which in English, not Engrish is:
"Fate/Stay Night Movie Official Website"

Then this is definitely a movie, just because I wasn't certain.

You'll have to wait a while. There isn't even anything confirmed besides the fact that there's gonna be a movie. it probably won't be released until 2010.

Hearing it spoken in engrish takes much of the magic away ...
I'd really welcome additional voice acting for them English and German parts.

I'd like to see an UBW movie.

I dunno about the HF fans, but I personally liked that route the least. "Oh no, I'm a monster-rape victim, now Shirou will never love me whaa" kind of got on my nerves, a bit.

I mean, I know it's an emotional thing and that it's meant to inspire sympathy for her, but I just found it annoying. I had no sympathy for the girl, because all she ever did was cry and/or run away.

Also, Rin is tsundere. end of discussion.

So, even if it's 90 truncated minutes, so long as I see Movie-quality Rin and Archer shooting things, I'll probably be happy.

And now the anxiety starts. I really do hope they make it an UBW movie cause we have yet to see the actual reality marble in high def. the anime was alright but it was so short and no actual combat took place.
