First episode had so much blogging. I swear it has more talking than an episode of k-on.

oh geeee, the last 7 minutes were... I can hardly describe its epicness. I mean the scene itself was really awesome but Kajiura Yuki made the whole thing 10 times better. I couldn't stop the chills that where running down my spine.
It may be a blabla episode but I totally enjoyed every second of it. The cast in Zero is just excellent, baddass people ftw. Well altough I've never read the book, we all know the general outcome of the scenario, I already feel sorry for Kariya and Rider's master.

Also, I approve of loli Rin.

Hmm I'll try to be as objective as I can.

I know they're supposed to be faithful to the novel but dear Lord, this ep 1 is like an exact copy pasta. For people with proper knowledge of / interested in Nasuverse this episode might be okay, but I bet people who are still new or not a fan of the franchise would call this some boring shit. And looking at episode 1's pace, I predict we will have another episode like this until we get into the interesting part. At least I got kinda worked up at the last 15 minutes, well that's kind of a good start.
About the animation, nothing much can really be said since we only get to the prologue but so far I didn't see any derp faces. and DAT BLOOM

+: So far it's following the original story, passable/decent quality

-: Wouldn't appeal to new viewers, too slow-paced

OP is cool and it matches the song that is used. I don't fucking care if it doesn't match the "atmosphere", because I think it matches the fighting spirit of all the Masters and Servants. It's not about the kind of song, it's how you utilize it.

Simply superb. The pacing was exactly the way I liked it in the novel. The BGM was excellent. The overall animation quality for a series that is to last 24 episodes is amazing.

Now, I wait.



He is one of the main protagonists. Well... Antagonist. He holds as much time as Kiritsugu does in the novel.
