[General] Do you learn names of characters quickly?

The wackier or more uncommon the name is, the better I remember it.

Unless it's the wacky uncommonly LONG name, then there's a problem.

Only the animes that Im really fond of.
Like I could name every main and side character of Evangelion, Higurashi, Mirai Nikki, or Naruto on the spot.
Anything else depends.

It depends on the story relevance of the character or how much i get to like the character for me.

Doesn't really matter if it's a English cartoon or anime, just as long as the series doesn't bombard you with several characters in one episode just to introduce them in an attempt to make the character more familiar to the viewer later, I can handle the names.

Two to three characters an episode does it for me. Also character development.

It takes me maybe three episodes to have the names down and I remember them for much longer then I should lol

If I liked the show, I usually do remember it. But if its just meh, I just go with that guy or that girl or something.

Nah, I can't remember most of them. I'm the same as others, if I grow fond of one character, then I'll remember their names for a long time. Also, I'll remember most mainstream names as well. Otherwise, I'll place their names on the back of my mind, until for some reason said name is mentioned elsewhere. As of right now, I don't remember the name of that main girl protagonist from Another, for example. However, if she becomes mainstream, then I'll eventually remember her name for a long time as well. This happened with Tousaka Kirino, Sakai Yuuji, Aisaka Taiga and others.

I gotta say I am really grateful for being an Asian though it has nothing to do with this.
I never had any problem with remembering them. Unless it is a side character that only got like 5 minutes of screening time in an episode then there should be no problem.

Hmm, depends on the anime, I suppose. If it leaves an impact to me, more likely I will.

I'll remember them while I'm watching the show, but after a few months I forget everyone's names except my favorites. xD

It usually takes me around 2-3 episode for me to remember them unless i really like the main characters then i remember their names instantly.

Characters that stick out personality wise I remember them well. Characters that don't... well that's why I never remember the names of anyone from shoujos even though I like reading them. But super robots and their pilots are easy to remember.

now that you make me think about it i do learn them rather quickly. Sometimes i forget if i dont watch for a year, but others i always remember. Like i remember the two main characters of escaflowne, but none of the side ones.

When it comes to names for me, I'm quick to learn, quick to forget.

I learn the names of the characters quickly, but as soon as I finish the series the names go to the back of my mind where it's lost for all eternity until I watch the series again, unless a particular character was noteworthy.

I remember the names of most main characters but I suck with less important characters... Although if i like an anime that much it's very possible that I'll remember their names for a long long time (anime like Death Note(Epic ones) are an example).
But it's a completely different story with manga. A couple of years(1-2) ago i used to read 2-3 volumes every night(i used to start reading at 12am and finished at 2:30am) and at the time I'd finish reading a long series(15 volumes) in a week and i remembered all their names for 4-5 months but after that they were forgotten into oblivion lol

Yes it's pretty sad. The first time i watched it, my mind was like: "NO! NO! This is a mistake, that can't be happening! This can't be the end!!! Damn you Mikami Teru!!!"
