A second season would be great but i dont really see it happening. i could be wrong though( and hopefully i am) but if nothing comes up i wouldnt be surprised but i would kinda feel let down since even though there is nothing yet there is always the possibility that it might. Either way i already read all 9 books and all im waiting for is for book 10 so i can finish the series.

don't worry by kyon and the gang there will be a second season.

we all have the end of time to find out if there will be season 2 and just if by dumb chance we get it in are lifespan...well only god knows so until then i shall have my standards set at 0/0

There is no doubt that a second season is coming. Even the OP of the first season screams it in our faces. The question is when.

I saw once on youtube some guy posting a chronologically orderd 28 episode schedule, which started with "Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuu'utsu I" and ended with a 6 episodes Vanishment arc. I've got no idea where could this guy find this, but if it was true, 3rd or even 4th season would be sure to come, as too much greatness lies in the novels to simply ignore them. And seeing how the 9th volume ended, volume 10 would be mind-fuckin' great when it finally comes out.

Anyhow, have you guys noticed, that Kadokawa is posting remasterd Haruhi episodes on a weekly basis? I silently hope I'll get to see the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody just like that in a few weeks.

And, another thing about The Melancholy- in the first season, Kyon, after returning to school from the Golden Week vacations says it's Wednsday- and Golden Week ending on Tuesday just happend to be this year. So it's 3 years ago, when the whole world was, perhaps, created. Just a little conspiration theory I heard of somewere

It's not remastered - just a reair in HD. And yes, I'm watching it. That's the entire purpose of this post. ^^

Anyway, with the original 14 episodes finishing in a few weeks there are already sub groups getting ready for Haruhi S2 (if it appears, that is) like this one.

Here's to hoping for 14 new episodes! :D

EDIT: If my memory from the light novels serves me right then the "bamboo leaf rhapsody" chapter was about stars and wishes. I don't know about you but I don't remember any stars or wishes from the first season.
