Haruhi Season 2 AIRING!

The TV airings happen all over the place. Different networks air shows at different times and often in different forms.

Anyway, this is supposedly a stream of the channel that will show S2 soon.

Me and the approximately 1300 other people in there are now all watching Blade of the Immortal. Apparently Haruhi is after this. Hmm...

1500 people now. Half of BotI left. This network we're watching is half an hour off Sun TV, who showed Haruhi first. Screenshots from Sun TV are appearing on 2chan. Season 2 seems to be genuine.

In b4 fansub group rush, even though most of them already have quite a few projects on their hands.

I believe there will be quite a few anime fans who aren't as excited about the new episodes as compared to the past, most probably due to the long wait and repeated trolling.

At the same time, some people might have thought they were never coming because of the wait and the repeated trolling; that, and the reaction from 4chan, various forums and on the stream chat was anything but subdued.

gg subs and CoalGuys have replaced their homepages with the SOS logo, so that's a possibly. Shamisen were also looking only yesterday for extra people to help sub it, so I've no doubt someone (if not multiple groups) will have it done soon.

I'm not really sure I have a lot of faith in the second season, but that wont' stop me from watching it.

Crap, looks like I will have to buy the Season 1 of Haruhi after all XD Hopefully I grab one for cheap next month.

I recommend you don't. New episodes are being mixed in with the old ones, and I'm pretty sure they'll release DVDs with the new episodes mixed into it. If you buy the original series now you're just throwing money away. Wait till then.

I just watched the [CoalGG] fansub. It was pretty good, though there were some liberal changes. One I felt was justified, it had Kyon saying "taimu mashiinu" while the subtitle read "Delorian". That was good, I felt, because there actually is a Japanese word for "time machine" and Kyon didn't use it, he was being sarcastic/sardonic as usual. That was best represented by having him say "Delorian" instead. Though at the end, Kyon calls Itsuki something mildly insulting, in a non-serious way. It was translated as "You fag!" which I felt was pretty shit.

As far as I understand it, while this is the 15th episode of Haruhi, it's actually the 8th one chronologically. That means that next week's episode will actually be broadcast episode 7 of series 1, the one that used to be chronological episode 8. It's the one in which they go into closed space and fight the giant insect.

In other words, they've fused series 1 and 2 together and are showing them in chronological order so we'll have to watch the old stuff in between the new stuff.

To be honest, I didn't even think there was going to be a second season. Everything was kept under wraps by Kadokawa and Kyoani til it actually aired. Talk about putting your audience in suspense, literally.

Same here. Now it's just a shame we have to wait until the 18th for the next one...I think we've had enough of that so called suspense. :P
