Have you ever cried from watching an anime?

Yeah, you're all men (well, most of you), and you probably don't want to admit it; but have you ever watched an anime that made you cry?

I watch a lot of drama/romance anime and there were moments where I've come near to tears; but I've never actually burst crying.

If I do get emotionally distressed from watching an anime, it's probably because it's the last episode (and I hate seeing series end) rather than something actually sad going on in the anime.

I guess I'm just too sensitive at times XD This happens mainly because I relate and empathize with the characters a lot =/ I'll try to name a few off my head~

-falling off a tree and becoming a wandering spirit ... didn't see that coming

-last episode where she was going to the airport and THEN her friend "dying" on the airplane ... the bed scene at the end KILLED the moment

The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
-didn't want to see it end XD ; mainly because it was the first anime I watched in a loooooong while

theres too many anime so far that ive cried to mainly because theyre mostly shojo anime but the last one i remember crying to was Code Gess i think beucase it was kinda sad how Euphie died

I was actually laughing maniacally after watching Euphie get shot by Lulu. I'm a terrible person -.-"

When I was first into Naruto it was kind of messed up when the hokage died but haven't cried because of an anime though.

Edit: It was sad when shouji cheated right infront of his gf (who he knew was there) in NANA. (The anime I'm currently watching :P )

Can't say I have cried either.. but I have to admit I empathize alot with characters by the end of a show.

doesn't even really matter how good the character design was.. take witchblade for example the first 10-13 episodes were just short fights and boob jokes nothing to really get attached to any characters. But over the span of the last 8-10 episodes things actually get really serious ( I am not going to say what incase someone watches it ) but in any case the last 3-4 episodes of that show are absolutely tragic and I have to say when it finally ended I found I was depressed for the next day or two despite having no real good reason to be. Oh and for the record I do recommend watching Witchblade even after it making me depressed the last half MORE then made up for the first half and made it a great show.

... and it doesn't help me that I tend to watch "combat" animes I can't stand fluffy romance ones ( melancholy of whatever her name is makes me wanna hit myself until I can't see.. ) but unfortunately this animes tend to have the most depressing endings as well haha.

I never cried to any, but Heart de Roommate was sad, and I watched some Elfen Lied with my friends and that seemed sad.

Nice topic ok here goes well the most serious one that made me cry out all night none stop till the morning till my eyes swollen + depressed for the whole month + flare up upon human contact + mentally unstable for a month was Black Lagoon where hansel and gretel had to die where they are innocense becuz they turn into child assasin becuz of the cruel world. From that day on everytime i try to do a bad deed i have to think twice becuz the special ending for the episode where the twins had to die will always start to sing in my heart continue on my heart will start to ache like a dagger is scracthing to it and hansel+ gretel's faces will be in front of my eyes and laughing callling me as their father to think twice.{ arrrgh there goes the pain again}

Anyways, those two were ... mutilated. That's all I got to say.

I've not outright cried, but my eyes would water up at some points. I don't remember specifically though. I remember toward the end of the Love Hina manga though. I don't remember why though...Keitaro and Naru had somethin happen between them. It was a few years ago lol.

I dun care whether thier mutilated or not is just not fair i dun like it and thats ebough to kill me......come on even a 18 year old teenager male like me have a sensitive spot u know?

Just went watched further into "NANA" and almost shed a tear, so much sympathy :o

Air(tv & the movie). this one is the king of all tear jerkers. When the music starts to play on the last epi... T-T i dont want to spoil it so im going somewhere and be depressed now since i remebered it.
