Kaichou wa Maid-sama!

Episode 5: Probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen from watching a shoujo-graphic anime in my entire life! It went from RAPE to fucking reverse-RAEP to just plain stupidity and absurdness! Such loads of BULL... I've never felt this insulted from watching an anime before.

Though I'd rather wait for its second season, I might be better off just reading Skip Beat than watching this.

Were you hoping she would actually be raped?

I had a feeling that was going to happen, but still would been cool if Usui jumped in and saved the day. Oh well...

I can honestly say I didn't expect episode 6 to contain a little chuu action. The plot thickens....

but in the video it's totally differ
they skip the other parts of the story....

But I still like it :)

Thats the best way to know if they changed the story. I read the manga beforehand too, so I know whats coming up next (if the anime doesn't change though..)

I honestly think the manga is far better then the anime. I also think the anime fails to capture the essence of shoujo-ness that the manga contains therefore reducing it to just a run-of-the-mill romantic comedy. =/

I also read the manga beforehand and felt the same way.

It's very rare that the anime sticks so closely to the manga, inevitably it deviates sometimes with the source material, and what they omit sometimes makes the story more better.

But as long as it doesn't screw up the story, I still like it.

Comic books are the originals but yah. Sticking to it to a certain extent is acceptable... Just wish they'd make an anime when a comic book is done.

I had my girlfriend watch this series, from 1-10 (latest episode) just for kicks.

Her comment after episode 10: "Isn't that guy kinda like raising flags with Ayuzawa with each episode? But he's raising way too many." I lol'd right there on the spot.

I still wonder how they'll put a good ending to this series, since the manga ain't done yet. I'm still hoping for a good one. And hopefully not like kinda like how the Ouran series ended at that stampy note.

I wonder how many people though episode 9 was as hilarious as I did... Half way through I realized that if you didn't know all the japanese folk tales and children's stories then you wouldn't find the episode fun at all. You might just of been confused.

watch enough anime and you see enough parodies / references to be able to enjoy the episode without having to know Japanese folk tales.

Seeing how Misaki protects every girl she sees, there must be a bajillion yuri doujinshi of her.
