The thing that does tick me off is how every ongoing series isn't consistent or just sucks overall. As example, Bleach would be a great series... if there wasn't a filler arc of 20+ episodes after a few manga ones.
If those fillers didn't exist, it wouldn't be an ongoing series. The anime would have to take a break every now and then to allow the manga get further ahead. Maybe that would be better though.
I've seen a lot more short anime series the past couple of years, but I'm okay with it. The thing that really irks me is when a series is short but then gets another season. Or two. Or three.
Like Sayonara Zetsubo-sensei and Minami-ke. Why make the seasons short if you're just going to make another season a few months later? I don't think even a full year went by between the seasons of those series. It's annoying having to wait over a year to see 26 episodes of a series when it takes half a year to watch a full, 26-episode series.
