damn samurai are disappointing

More so for me as I finished watching a documentary on Samurai recently and watched the Last of the Samurai right before reading the chapter, and these shows were on TV while I was flipping through too.

So were the Samurai suppose to be some awesome warriors or something to everyone? I didn't expect them to be cause an actual Samurai character hasn't gotten introduced yet. Just miscellaneous Samurais. Just like in the Leaf village. Not every ninja is badass. Most are piss poor weak when compared to the actual characters of the story.

Clone wars ring a bell to anyone else?

Did anyone here seriously consider one of the main characters getting hard pressed by fodder? If so i lol at you.

well they introduced the samurai as some awesome power. so i hope there will be at least 1 strong samurai. other than that i want to see suigetsu fight the other mist swordsmen there are not enough giant sword fights

sure are. damn, those character designs are just plain awful. and yes, they do look like something out of a star wars movie. and the fact that they are samurais adds no value to the story arc. for all i care, they could have been a neutral ninja nation.

Sasuke vs Raikage (only fight scene no end yet)
after a bunch of crap from Tobi Naruto comes and fight Sasuke
Kakashi and Yamato vs Madara (begins)

I wanna see Suigetsu tear some shit up too. That sword is just begging to be used. The samurai are just another fucking random element thrown into the mix, I paid them no heed from the moment they appeared. I doubt they'll serve any purpose beyond cannon fodder, which is good imo. The last thing Naruto needs is more characters to be introduced with their own bullshit subplots.

So, anybody else confused about what this is:

A representation of Sasuke's chakra or state of mind?

That's what I would go with. An assumption of it being a tailed beast or something similar is ridiculous right now sense there is nothing to suggest that he would have such a thing.

When I saw that at first, I thought it was the fox-demon. But then I remembered: this is Sasuke.

Maybe his chakra changed forms?

Madara did mention that Sasuke is "Eaten up by the Ninja world's hatred and bitterness". Maybe that means he has finally flown off the deep end and just accepted evil and all instead of just an "avenger".

That could very well be it. Do you remember when he encountered Naruto some time ago and suppressed the nine-tail? The fox said something about Sasuke's eyes being more sinister than Uchiha Madara's.

but the fox is still in Naruto so i highly doubt it is the nine tail. but it could be representing the nine tail using sasuke because he is the only one who could draw the nine tail out at this point. in the end it is all the nine tails escape plan

I stop reading Naruto for like a year and the change is astonishing.

1) Naruto's nuke bombs can now be thrown (Dissapointing)
2) Naruto is half frog (which is awesome)
3) Everyone in Konoha died and was ressurected (Boring.....)
4) Sasuke's got Mangekyo Sharingans that look like Nukes (Whoa)
(A-bomb face)
5) Tsunade used too much chakra and is in a coma (WTF?)
6) Danzo is now Hokage and has a Sharingan (WTF?)
But worst of all:

7) A country guarded by Stormtroopers!? (Disgusting....)
