Difficult question. Since I'm a easily moved crybaby sometimes... But
5 Centimeters per Second is the one that I'd say takes the prize, especially the second part.
Actually I'm usually more moved by movies than by series, so close behind is
Voices of a Distant Star and
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time... For series I'd go with what seems to be the most usual three,
Clannad, Kanon and
Honey & Clover. I also saw that
Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (Also know as
Rumbling Hearts) were mentioned, being the first movie/series/media of any kind i cried to, it holds a special place in my collection.
I'm quite surprised but this is exactly the same movies/series that I was about to say as well. Although I havn't watched clannad after story cause I'm kinda not in the mood for something so tragic right now. Let's face it.. you need to be in the mood to watch the second season of clannad especially if you already know how it's gonna end
Well, they are awesome movies and series, and they are among the most mentioned one in this thread as well, so not so surprising.
Yeah, Clannad ~After Story~ was quite "hard" to watch. I had managed to keep away from spoilers, so while I knew that something was going to happen, I didn't know when, and I didn't know what. It was painful to watch through as I was assuming the worst possible outcome in every turn.
