Newer vs. Older Animes
Do you like the newer animes or the older ones?

Lol After looking at the list, I actually recognized 59, guess I lost count, and didn't expect "movies" to be counted as a different title, no wonder X got a longer video time in that clip.
And to think that i only watch 45 series of all in the video while i know probably around 60s title but never had the chance to watch the series as it is very difficult to find some of those old anime except if they are famous franchaise.(Macross,Gundam,Slayer,etc)

Got around 35-36 titles. I was never able to get into the mecha or space opera genre, so I could barely identify those.

Depending on people's age, this line might be drawn anywhere, from emergence of prevalent use of CGI on early 2000s to explosion of moe-culture, etc.
As for me, I divide the new vs old with pre-2000 and post-2000.

I prefer anime < 2005 , to me anime now is getting worse and worse with fan service and no real plot substance
And look what we get this season ( aside from AnoHana , none is watchable )

While i love older animes more, I would never say that newer anime keep getting worse. In this season i enjoy Ano Hana, Denpa Onna,{C} Money and Soul,Kaiji Second Season, Dog Days and Moshidora.
My only problem with modern anime is that they lack the "catch" that could make u remember them forever. The first time we watch some in the past usually the have some great scene which is forever remembered by us who watch the anime but anime nowadays lack that kind of power or i am just getting old i don't know?

wheres the Both option? I chose old anime since most of the old animes i watch are romance. Other than that new animes are pretty good too.

[font=verdana][color=green]The old anime is certainly more inventive than the newer stuff; the newer stuff tends to stick to a certain formula, but only changes the story and setting slightly.
That being said, I prefer the newer stuff; the stuff from 4/7 years back at any rate.

I'm gonna have to say old anime due to my nostalgia for shows like:
There's plenty more that I could've listed, but that'll do. Maybe I'm setting the standards too high for new shows by comparing them with the old. I'm more likely to go back and watch an older anime show than a new one, but I watch more new shows than I did old.
