Kirino is simply one of the biggest bitches I've seen in an anime show. Sure, I understand being attracted to your brother and being jealous when other girls are around him, but that's no reason to just push everyone around just because not everything is going your way. She's just a spoiled brat, and now that makes a bit more sense since I found out that she's actually 14, but unfortunately that makes Kyousuke even more of a doormat, taking shit from a little punk like his little sister. I understand wanting to help your sibling and going to great lengths for that, I really do, but Kyou is just exagerrating. They should have made him more manly, but let's just say he's got half an excuse for being how he is, since he is only 17.
Episode 11
What kinda surprised me is his mom's attitude towards porn/hentai. I was expecting her to have more of a narrow minded view like their dad, but it turns out she's rather lax and open on the whole subject. She didn't actually see the game on the laptop, but I'm guessing she isn' stupid. I was really thinking I'd enjoy the scene with Kyou and Manami-chan being together, home alone, but Kirino HAD to ruin it. Why, oh WHY, didn't Kyou just shove the stick up Kirino's ass, and tell her it's none of her business who he's fucking with? When Manami discovered his magazines and eroge, I was hoping that the realization that he had a fetish for glasses would create some sexual tension, and that both, or at least one of them would seize the opportunity and at least make out, if nothing else.
The maid part was better, since Kirino got served and admitted what she actually thought about him... She still has no excuse to be the bitch she was untill now. but at least she confessed, and felt a tiny fragmet of the humility she needs to learn. However, I still don't get why Kyou was so embarrased by people knowing that he had a harem party... If I was in his place, I'd have felt great, and the party would've probably ended with an orgy :D

Also read somewhere that in the Light Novels, that Kyoske starts dating Ruri, is this true? I need to start reading the Light Novels/Mangas.
Wait, what? He doesn't end up with Manami, Kuroneko or Sasori? FUCK!
You're over-exaggerating Kirino's behavior and the lack of behavior on Kyousuke's behave.
She has reasons for doing the things she does. Jealously, insecurity, depression from her brother's earlier abandonment, etc. The only times she goes to extreme moments is when she is really provoked, in this case Kyousuke bringing home the one person he relies on and talks to the most pretty much. The person Kirino might feel stole away her brother's attention all that time.
And you seem to completely forget the moments when she does allow her true self to show, such as the confession she made in this episode.
As for your close-minded remarks. His dad is not close-minded. I really don't get why you would think that. He is stern, and concerned but he isn't close-minded. If he was close-minded he would have never allow Kirino to keep her hobby. He also wouldn't have done things like help Kyousuke out by researching material that showed things in a positive light. These are not things a close-minded person does.
Ayase did begin as a bit close-minded. But she is more easily swayed than truly close-minded. And she has shown she is more than willing to try and change a bit if it's for her friend. As in getting a gift anime related and trying to understand a bit of Kirino's hobby. And don't forget that the reason she dislike Kyousuke now is because she thinks he has incestuous feelings towards his sister, her best friend.
Even the other model isn't that close-minded. Or else she would have not admitted the last part of it being fun when asked. But sure, she's probably the closest thing you have to it.
So seriously, stop fucking using close-minded when you don't seem to understand what it fucking mean.
I wrote a long reply to your post, but I refreshed the page by accident, so I'm just gonna say the main idea. I know exactly what closed minded-ness is, I have to deal with it daily. I know exactly why she behaves the way she does, but her insecurities and personal issues don't give her the right to push everyone around how she sees fit. And I haven't forgotten her confession, that was something to appreciate, but it doesn't absolve her from the way she acted up until that point. Her character has learned a bit of humility, thus she has grown a bit, but people don't mature just like that, in an instant. At least she is shown to be on the right track, by the end of episode 11.
About the father, I didn't say he had narrow views in general, I was only referring to the subject of anime/eroge/otakus (since we don't see many other scenes involving him). His stern behaviour is a positive thing, but I say his views are narrow in this regard, because his disliking for anime/manga/otakus is not based on something he experienced, but on what he heard/read from the media.
About Kyousuke, I can sympathize with his desire to help those he cares about, I really do, but instead of being direct and stern when the situation calls for it, he chooses to bow down his head too much, and in this regard I think he should man up. This may be ok in anime, but in real life most people will take advantage of that kind of behaviour. He should have acted like at the end of episode 11 from the beginning.
On a side note, the end of ep 11 was a bit tear jerking. I know how it feels like, when you discover that someone you fought for realizes what you've done for them, and are truly thankfull.

... You DO know Ruri is Kuroneko's name, right?
I actually didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.
