About Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

They are sent to Daten City, a place located on the edge of Heaven and Hell, where creatures called "Ghosts" have run wild - feeding on human desire. Under the watchful eye of Reverend Garterbelt, it's up to Panty and Stocking to destroy these Ghosts, in order to collect enough Heaven Coins to return to Heaven. Only the Anarchy sisters can save humanity from these monsters and when they're not bickering with each other, they're unstoppable.
FUNimation will release the complete series on DVD in 2012.

I've heard rumors that Gainax has a tendency to discontinue series and also that the people responsible for P&S w/ GB have left Gainax. Should I look forward to a second season soon (or eventually) or should I just stop now and forget about it to prevent any despair and disappointment?

Seeing as they were pretty explicit about revealing that there would be a second season, I would like to think so. As for the dubbing, I could see it doing better than one might expect. There was quite a handful of English in the episodes (even if it was just "fuck!" or "bitch!").

Lol well the thing is that those English words, mostly curse words were funny due to the face it was said with a Japanese accent rather than just using the same word in Japanese. I don't see Panty's "whaat teh Fraack?!" being the same if said somewhat properly and the Demon sisters Scanty and Kneesocks' "RUUUUUURRUUUUU" the same way :/

I hope it's alright to bump this back up for the newly released FUNimation trailer.
Personally, I think the voices turned out perfectly (so far from what we've heard) but I am most impressed with Panty's voice. I wasn't she how she'd sound in English (as far as whether it'd sound "right" or not) but now that I've heard it, I am loving every syllable. Chris Sabat (Piccolo, Zoro, etc.) sounds great as Gartbelt and Stocking is very nice as well.
Day one buy for me.
