So why give him a slightly girly voice?
Huh ... I didn't actually think it could even be called "slightly girly". I thought it was an alright voice, not the best, but fitting at least.

I'm sorry, I don't like this adaptation. Keima's voice completely failed to capture his arrogant, confident attitude. Cut way too many scenes. Weak cinematography. For an anime that I go into without expectations, it's good. Unfortunately, my expectations were too high, and this adaptation didn't meet them.
I just re-read the first chapter of the manga. The only "significant" scenes that were cut were the intro scene with Elsea and Keima stating he's going to confess. It's otherwise an almost exact replica of the manga. But basically, they tried too hard to replicate each panel of the manga and made it feel a bit disjointed. That said, I'm more worried about the animation quality. For a first episode, it had quite of number of animation inconsistencies (notably with Keima's bangs). Most other low-budget anime can at least look good through the first episode.
