Yeah, this adaptation is fine. The transitions between different days didn't feel as awkward as in episode 1. It's strange that the first episode would be the "shaky" one, but I guess speeding up the pace was what they decided to do to entice viewers in the first episode.
Also, I no longer detect any femininity from Keima's voice although his "I can see the ending" did not have enough "oomph" in it.
Yeah, I think you're right about the pacing. I definitely think that it was better in the Mio arc.
Yea episode one was quite awkward... Cramming a lot of info into one episode never works well... The pacing was much nicer and relaxed in episodes two and three, allowing us to better understand the characters, though I still think the manga does a better job since the pacing is even slower.
