Which Gundam series do you think is the best?

Right? 4%! A breakaway from the gundamn trend in its own right and awesome. Domon Kasshu? Great character. Rain Mikamura? A seriously under-appreciated series, not to say Seed/Wing/00 are not good Gundam series' too, but come on!

G Gundam did indeed break away from the more mature theme that Mobile Suit is known for, but mind you that people had followed it previously because of those mature themes and quite a number did not watch the mobile suit franchise for only seeing the main character being a badass. I'll admit that I was on the edge of my seat whenever I saw him using the God finger(japanese name if you don't happen to be aware of it) but that doesn't mean it was the best thing I have ever seen in a Mecha, if that was the case I'd be here singing the graces of Gurren Lagann but no instead I'm using an avi of Dalia and think that one of the more effective moments (in my opinion)in anime was when

I thought Turn-A was the best, and I'd recommend it to anyone. Just don't watch it and expect it to be anything like 00, Zeta, SEED, etc.

I'm just sticking to what was in the poll, I was not suggesting it was the best I've seen in mecha, but from the choices I think its the best because its the deviant. Good story, good characters, exciting series. I liked that it was unique within the Gundam series. I didn't see them all, but I liked the ones I did see. If I could pick another best it'd probably be Gundam 00, its what I thought all future series of the franchise should emulate. But at the same time what I really came to appreciate from the G Gundam series was its simplicity comparatively. I liked the complexity of the other Gundam series I've seen, but I watched these series out of order sometimes and missed things. It got in the way sometimes. I also wanted them to loosen up a little.
G Gundam was like this little gem to me because it was subset of the Gundam timeline; it was a taste of the future of the future of the future it seemed. It was fun and didnt always take itself too seriously. I kind of want to watch it again. Ill probably watch the other ones now that its so damn accessible. :) But for me G Gundam will still be the best.

That is quite understandable and makes a lot of sense if what drew you to it was those elements but of course on the flip side people have other such preferences and I thank you for giving a legitimate explanation as to why it was your most preferred most seemed to over look that part of it and just say short little spurts of what appears to be them declaring "because it was awesome", which in all honesty (and no insult intended)is the equivalent of a young over excited fanboy having a fangasm, so again I thank you for explaining your reasoning it gives further insight and helps draw new potential fans to the series.

lol to fanboy. And no problem, I love discussing anime, but I dont want to have a convo by myself. Sometimes I'm just not sure if what I really want to say is just falling on the blind and deaf. I like sharing my thoughts, but at some point its can become the tree in the forest mentality. If people want a serious answer, you just have to ask me like you did. :) Yey!

Lol while everyone asking why G Gundam has only 4 vote, i can't help but wonder why ZZ got 0 vote??? even Gunpla builders got one vote. This is what we call underatted anime.

I'm always amazed at the hate ZZ gets. It just doesn't seem to be a well-liked series. I loved it, but I didn't vote for it because it's not my favorite. Maybe that's why it's got zero votes, because the people that have seen it have also seen Zeta, and they voted for that (like me).

As far as i can remember none of the Gundam series had a frog character in it.

Yeah i myself also vote for Zeta as i like Zeta more but i still think that ZZ has it own greatness like Haman Karn, The Ple clone, Glemy Toto rebellion. It is such a shame that people tends to don't like ZZ because in the early episode it is some kind humorous and lack the tension of battle.
